Mohd Mahmood Ali, Minister for Home conducted a review of Prisons Department to discuss the general issues and developmental activities being taken up in the Prisons Department at his Office at Lakdikapul on Monday.

Home Department, DG Prisons, Sri Jitender, IPS appraised the Home Minister about the overall functioning in the State and the welfare & developmental activities being taken up such as Unnathi programme,Employment to the Released Prisoners, Loans Sanctioned to the Released Prisoners and Haritaharam taken up in prison institutions.
He has also appraised about the skill development programme of Inmates in the Prisons and the facilities being provided to them. The DG further enlightened about the transparency maintained in the Prisons so that no scope is given for any criticism. Y. Rajesh, IG Prisons, Sri Murali Babu, DIG, Hyderabad and Dr.Srinivas, DIG, Warangal and other Officers participated in the meeting.
Minister for Home Sri Mohammed Mahmood Ali instructed the DG Prisons and other senior officers present to take all needed steps for overall development and smooth functioning of the Prisons Department.
