Kuppam, Jan 28: The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) national general secretary, Mr Nara Lokesh, on Saturday made it clear that getting scared of false cases filed against him is not in his bio-data.
Mr Lokesk during his second day of his pada yatra, intercated with the locals on his way. When the locals narrated that they are being subjected to various kinds of harassment by the YSRCP leaders, Mr Lokesh said that several false cases, including even a murder case, were filed against him. “But I am not scared of such cases as getting fear is not in my bio-data,” he said.
Later, the students of the Government Degree College also met him and informed him that they are not getting their scholarships. “Though there are reports that schems like Vidya Deevena and Vasathi Deevena are being implemented, we are nto receiving any benefits. New courses are introduced in the college but there are no facilities,” they informed Mr Lokesh.
The students said that buse services were withdrawn and no drinking water facility for them on the college campus. “Once the TDP is back in power, all these problems will be resolved immediately,” Mr Lokesh said and added that all the industries in Kuppam were set up during the Chandrababu Naidu regime.
Mr Lokesh asked whether a single factory is set up after the YSRCP came to power. He even pointed out that leave alone setting up new units, the existing ones like the Amar Raaja Battery was chased out of the State. The students followed Mr Lokesh raising slogas like “babu should come back to get jobs”.
Later, Mr Lokesh met farmers couple, Ms Rajamma and Mr Muniratnam, who were working in their agricultural fields. They informed Mr Lokesh that they suffered huge losses with tomato crop as not even Minimum Support Price (MSP) is not being paid. Mr Lokesh asked what happed to the promise made by the Chief Minister, Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy, that MSP will be paid to the farmers. The farmers narrted their woes that the investment has gine up and they are not getting the MSP for the farm products.
“The Agricultural Minister is against whom a theft case is pending and this Minister forgot the farmers with making rounds to the CBI,” he said. Mr Lokesh promised to pay the MSP for all the crops once the TDP is back in power. Mr Jagan chased out the Britania company which set up its unit here during the TDP rule, he added.
Stating that iron boxs and other material was supplied to the Rajaka families during the TDP rule, he promised to revive all the welfare schemes for the community and also construct the community halls once the TDP comes to power.
Mr Teja, who susteined grievous injuries in a road accident and got monetary benefit of Rs 16 lakh during the Chandrababu Naidu regime, walked to Mr Lokesh to thank him for the assistance. “I am able to walk now only with the help extended by Mr Chandarbabu,” Mr Teja said and even broke down after hugging Mr Lokesh.
