inauguration of 4th National Young Superintendents of Police Conference and 3rd Police Expo in New Delhi
The National Young Superintendents of Police Conference and Police Expo is organized by BPR&D in collaboration with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FICCI), with the objective of Police Modernization through latest technologies in areas such as Cybercrime Management, Drones, Counter Drones and other related fields, such as Predictive Policing, Crime and Data Analytics. The Conference’s theme is “Innovation and Research in Cyber Crime Management, Drones and Counter Drones”.
Today, Sh. Nityanand Rai, Hon’ble Minister of State (Home), Government of India, inaugurated the 2-day Conference and Police Expo – 2022 at Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel Auditorium, BPR&D Hqrs., New Delhi. In his inaugural address, he lauded the exemplary dedication towards duty shown by the Police personnels. He urged industry leaders to interact with the Police, and understand their requirements to produce suitable equipment and solutions. He also highlighted the initiative undertaken by the I4C to launch a toll-free no.(1930) for victims of financial frauds. He requested all the Police officers and industry luminaries to actively play their part in making an ‘Aatma Nirbhar Bharat’.
Sh. Balaji Srivastava, DG, BPR&D apprised the audience about the work done by the BPR&D towards modernization and capacity building of Police forces, especially in the field of handling cybercrimes and crimes related to drones. He also mentioned that through NCR&IC, a comprehensive synergy is being formed among academia, industry, Law Enforcement Agencies, and young professionals of the country. This helps in infusing a culture of R&D for the development of policing solutions. DG, BPR&D also alluded that the slogan of ‘Jai Anusandhan’, given by the Hon’ble Prime Minister, underlines the importance of research and development in every area of concern.
Nearly 250 young IPS officers of the rank of Superintendent of Police (SP), from States/UTs and Commandants from CAPFs/CPOs, are attending the Conference. It is a platform where Police officers are directly interacting with the industrial conglomerates and discussing the latest technology available to assist the Police in countering modern-day challenges like Cybercrimes, crimes related to drones, Crypto-currency related crimes, etc.
The theme of the Expo is Atma Nirbhar Bharat. While speeking on the occasion Senior President FICCI, mentioned that the importance of Police Indutry partanership. At the end Sh. Rahul Chaudhary Mentor Homeland Securit FICCI praposed vote of thanks.
