In the light of Comprehensive Land Re-survey Project titling “YSR Jagananna Saswatha Bhu Hakku Mariyu Bhu Raksha Pathakam” in the state, Sri Siddhartha Jain, IAS. Commissioner of Survey Settlements and Land Records, Government of Andhra Pradesh, Vijayawada Wednesday conducted workshop in the office of Director, Disaster Management, Tadepalli to explore the ways to generate qualitative and quantitative Ortho Rectified Images from Drone Survey .
All the private vendors who are actively taking part in AP Resurvey Project have participated and raised various technical queries for generation of large scale maps using drone imagery in AP Re-Survey Project. Detailed workshop done on flight planning, drone fly, capturing and processing of Ortho Rectified Images(ORI) , Ground Control points, check points, Frequently asked questions(FAQs), Do’s , Don’s, standards, parameters, mode of observation, quality, speed etc.
Officers from Survey of India , Hyderabad who participated in the workshop contributed their valuable suggestions for the improvement of visual quality of ORI, methods to improve positional accuracy of ORI, methodology for Quality Check of ORI for better results, etc.
The CSSLR has appreciated and conveyed his thanks for the good efforts taken by the Survey of India for generating drone images with optimum precision and their selection criteria in establishment of Ground Control Points (GCPs) and Check Points to achieve good results. Sri D. Ravi Babu , Surveyor, Smt. Sradda Pradhan , Officer Surveyor and Sri B.Rashila , Surveyor have participated in the work shop. The CSSLR specially thanked the officers of Survey of India who participated in the work shop for their valuable contribution in the work shop and to address various issues raised by the participants.

Queries, doubts raised by all agencies have been clarified by Survey Department and officials from Survey of India.
