-Demands action against YCP leaders and erring officials
-Children harassed on false charges of tearing flexi
AMARAVATI: TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh on Tuesday slammed the ruling YSRCP leaders and police for ‘illegally confining’ school children in the police station on flimsy grounds in Palnadu district.
Nara Lokesh demanded stringent action against the YSRCP leaders and the police officials responsible for the day-long custody of the school children. The innocent children were made to sit in the Piduguralla police station in violation of the children rights.
In a statement here, Lokesh asked whether the friendly policing would mean threatening even school children by putting them in the police stations. CM Jagan Mohan Reddy should give his explanation on this disturbing incident. The sadism of the ruling YSRCP leaders was crossing all limits. They have been harassing the opposition leaders with false cases and started victimising even children.
The TDP MLC said the children were kept in the police station throughout the day on charges of tearing down a flexi. They were not spared though they explained that the incident happened when they were playing a game at the spot.
Lokesh said that the ruling YSRCP leaders derived sadistic pleasure by getting the police to put the children in the police station. Taking children into unlawful custody held mirror to the ongoing anarchic regime in the State.
