BRS senior leader Dr Dasoju Sravan fired on TPCC president Revanth Reddy, saying Telangana Congress chief is doing crooked politics on 24-hour free power and trying to mislead Telangana people. Responding on Revanth Reddy’s challenge to CM K Chandrashekar Rao for a public discussion on free power in Kamareddy, Dr Dasoju Sravan pointed out that ‘arrogant’ and ‘immature’ Revanth Reddy has no stature to discuss with a visionary leader KCR and censured TPCC president for trying to sensationalise the issue for cheap publicity.
Explaining the progress achieved in power sector and transformation in farmers lives under CM KCR’s leadership, Dr Dasoju Sravan mocked that Dandupalya gang leader Revanth Reddy has no right to speak on the free power.
“Forgetting that he has been rejected by Kodangal public, TPCC chief Revanth Reddy is indulging in big talk in Kamareddy. He has even dared to challenge CM KCR for an open discussion on ‘free power’ issue. It is unfortunate that even after severe backlash from farmers and from his own party, Revanth Reddy is still trying to mislead people on the 24-hour free power supplied by CM KCR Sarkar to farmers in Telangana. There is no need for CM KCR to come for a discussion.
Revanth Reddy should catch hold of an electricity wire in any village at anytime. If he is alive then there is no free power, if not there is 24-hour power supply. Telangana people are observing Revanth Reddy’s arrogant and deceptive politics and will teach a lesson for him in both Kodangal and Kamareddy constituencies. We will ensure that Revanth Reddy will not enter Assembly,” warned Dr Dasoju Sravan, launching a tirade on Revanth Reddy.
“There was crisis in power sector before 2014 and farmers, industries, manufacturers and general public faced severe troubles in case of electricity. But after BRS assumed power, CM KCR has completely transformed the power sector and supplied 24-hour free power to farmers and quality electricity to industries and all households.
When CM KCR assumed power in 2014, the total installed capacity of power generation in Telangana was 7778 MW and it rose to 18,453 MW in 2023. The solar power generation increased from 74 MW in 2014 to 5,741 MW in 2023. CM KCR has completely streamlined the power distribution by setting up new transformers and sub stations with a whopping Rs 22,500 Cr investment. By constructing new power projects like Bhupalapally Jaipur Power Plant (800 MW), Jurala-Pulichintala (360 MW), Bhadaradri Power Station (1080 MW), Damaracherla (4,000 MW) and others, CM KCR has completely changed the power sector and lightened up Telangana. But ignoring this tremendous effort, Revanth Reddy is trying to spread lies on free power,” explained Dr Dasoju Sravan, urging people to recognise the phenomenal progress achieved in power sector under CM KCR-led BRS rule.
“Congress and BJP leaders from all over India are arriving like thieves gangs in Telangana to wage a war against CM KCR and loot Telangana. CM KCR has transformed drought-hit Telangana into one of the prosperous states in India. Telangana budget grew from Rs 60,000 Cr in 2014 to Rs 3 lakh Cr in 2023 and people belonging to all sections are living happily under KCR’s rule. The area under cultivation has increased from 1.30 lakh acres in 2014 to 2.20 lakh acres in 2023 in Telangana due to the 24-hour free power supply to farmers. Paddy production increased from 68,000 Cr tonnes in 2014 to 3 lakh Cr tonnes in 2023. Now Dandupalya gang leader Revanth Reddy is trying his best to sabotage CM KCR’s leadership to plunder the rich and prosperous Telangana,” thundered Dr Sravan criticising Revanth Reddy.
Dr Dasoju Sravan also found fault with Revanth Reddy for his comments on ‘Telangana people as drunkards’. “Unable to digest the income generated from Excise taxes, Revanth Reddy has been saying that CM KCR has turned Telangana into a liquor haven. He does not even have basic understanding about public life. While people take a sip for relaxation after a hard day’s work, he is calling them drunkards. Is this the way a leader leading 120-year-old party talks? While Telangana excise revenue is Rs 17,000 Cr, Congress-ruled Karnataka’s excise revenue is 24,580 Cr. Then will Revanth Reddy say that Congress has turned Karnataka into a state of drunkards?” questioned Dr Sravan.
Dr Dasoju Sravan also found fault with TPCC chief Revanth Reddy’s statement on attack on BRS leader Kotha Prabhakar Reddy alleging that Revanth’s comments are encouraging violence.
“Revanth Reddy is unfit to lead a party like 120-year-old rich history Congress which is found on Gandhian principles. He is encouraging violence. He has sold party tickets. Sidelined loyal Congress leaders. Even crushed women leaders like Gandra Sujata, Palvai Sravanti, Kalva Sujata. He is also the only one person in entire Telangana who called Sonia Gandhi as ‘Bali Devata’. He is acting as Chandrababu Naidu’s agent in Congress. He has openly said that he will do Amaravati-styled land pooling real estate business in Telangana if voted to power. It is sure that Revanth Reddy has sold party tickets and will also sell entire Telangana if elected,” signed off Dr Dasoju Sravan, urging people to bring back CM KCR for third time to save Telangana from Congress.
