-Parents seek CBI probe to punish accused
-Slam police for trying to save Anantha Babu
AMARAVATI: The parents of slain driver Veedhi Subrahmanyam met TDP National President and former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu at the TDP office here on Friday.
Nookarathnam and Satyanarayana, mother and father of the slain driver, told Naidu that the police were trying to dilute the murder of their son. The accused in the murder of Veedhi Subrahmanyam was YCP MLC Anantha Babu, who has been sent to jail.
A TDP press release here said that the driver’s parents alleged that the police were making every effort to save Anantha Babu. The aged parents asserted that they were prepared for a legal battle for which they sought the support of the Telugu Desam party.
Subrahmanyam’s parents strongly believed that the accused persons in their son’s murder would get correct punishment only if the CBI would probe the case. They thanked the TDP for giving them a financial assistance of Rs. 5 lakh. Chandrababu Naidu assured them of all support from the TDP side in their future struggles.
