TDP Parliamentary Party discusses strategy to be adopted during upcoming Parliamentary session

The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Parliamentary Party under the leadership of party national president N Chandrababu Naidu and president of the State unit of the party Atchen Naidu, discussed the strategy of the party to be adopted in the forthcoming winter session of Parliament.

The TDP MPs are planning to raise before Parliament the matter of YSRCP Government’s actions which are detrimental to the interests of the State. The TDP MPs will also raise the demand for special category status to Andhra Pradesh.

Briefing media persons on the issues discussed at the TDP Parliamentary Party meeting, party MPS Rammohan Naidu, Kanakamedala Ravindra Kumar and Galla Jayadev said that the party MPs will raise the ‘financial’ terrorism’ and ‘economic crisis’ the State is currently undergoing. They will also bring to the attention of the Centre and the entire nation how the reckless Jagan Mohan Reddy’s regime has been pushing Andhra Pradesh into a severe financial crisis, they added.

The total debts of the State amounted to a whopping Rs 8 lakh crore, the MPs said and pointed out that the Chief Minister, however, uses a helicopter to go to even Guntur and a chartered flight to visit foreign countries. Whose money is being misused like this, they asked. When the State is facing such huge financial crunch, the companies owned by Jagan Mohan Reddy and his benami companies are running in huge profits, they said.

Stating that the Central funds are being diverted, the party MPs demanded that a white paper be issued on the revenue and expenditure of the State. Even the funds released by the Centre for panchayats and even the provident fund amount of the State Government empl;oyees are misused, they said. When the judiciary pulled up the State for this, the Jagan Mohan Reddy Government shamelessly tried to malign the judicial system too, the party MPs said.

Maintaining that not even a single promise made by Jagan Mohan Reddy during the election campaign has been fulfilled yet, they said that the privatisation of Vizag Steel Plant be opposed at any cost. If the State Government can release a mere Rs 5,000 crore for the steel plant, which is the pride of the State, it will bail out the unit from the financial crisis.

Jagan Mohan Reddy had visited Delhi several times and met Prime Minister Modi, but he never raised the State issues except taking selfies with him, they said and asked whether the Chief Minister is afraid of his CBI cases and going to jail if he demands the Centre to fulfil the issues mentioned in the State Reorganisation Act.

The TDP MPs said that they will raise all these issues during the upcoming session of Parliament to bring the masters to the notice of the nation.
