-Varla urges DGP to check Chandragiri land mafia
-YCP MLA secret bhumi puja in police land
AMARAVATI: TDP politburo member Varla Ramaiah on Sunday urged the DGP of AP to probe the ruling YSRCP MLA’s illegal occupation of the police land in Chandragiri town in Tirupati district.
In a letter to the DGP here, Ramaiah demanded that stringent action should be taken against the criminals who trespassed into the police land. Immediate steps should be taken to prevent alienation of the police land.
The TDP leader said the local MLA was stated to have also carried out the foundation stone laying ceremony in the police land secretly. The police personnel there were in panic. There was an immediate need to safeguard the police land and to restore confidence among the police personnel.
Ramaiah said that the ruling YSRCP leaders were attempting to illegally occupy land in Chandragiri earmarked for the police department. It is sad that the land mafia of the ruling YSRCP has laid its eyes on the police land in the name of land for their party office. This has not only created panic among the police personnel there, but also among the general public.
The TDP leader said that the YSRCP MLA was learnt to have secretly conducted bhoomi pooja in the police land by criminally trespassing. However, as per the Government records, the said land belongs to the police department and it was earlier proposed to construct a function hall for the welfare of the police.
Ramaiah said in this regard, it is appealing to take stringent action against the criminal trespassers so as to deter anyone in the future from trespassing into the police land. As the head of the police, it is your duty and responsibility to safeguard and protect the property of the police department.
The TDP leader said if this police land was not protected, the same land mafia people will even dare to occupy police parade grounds and police stations too. Hence, it is once again appealed to prevent alienation of land in Chandragiri in the interest of police personnel.
