Telugu Desam Party National General Secretary, Nara Lokesh, today visited TDP Chief and Former CM N. Chandrababu Naidu, who is currently detained at Rajahmundry Central Prison over alleged irregularities related to the Skill Development Project. After meeting with the Former CM through ‘Mulaqat,’ Nara Lokesh spoke to the media, highlighting that it has been 50 days since N. Chandrababu Naidu was incarcerated without any evidence. He stated that the YSRC government has manipulated the systems to prevent N. Chandrababu Naidu from addressing the public issues.
Nara Lokesh made it clear that if the Jagan government detains the TDP Chief by manipulating the systems, the TDP will take up a legal fight. He disclosed that the judgment on Section 17A is currently pending, and he hopes it will be announced in the next two to three weeks.
Sharing details about N. Chandrababu Naidu’s health and safety, Nara Lokesh mentioned that the former CM has lost six kilograms in weight. He revealed that when N. Chandrababu Naidu entered prison, he weighed 72 kilograms, but now it has dropped to 66 kilograms, although the government claims he gained one kilogram. Nara Lokesh also disclosed that N. Chandrababu Naidu has had a heart condition since birth, and even the doctors are aware of this. However, it appears that the government is intentionally manipulating the system to keep him imprisoned for 50 days.
Nara Lokesh also elaborated on how the Jagan government manipulates the system by revealing the contradictory reports from an ophthalmologist. He explained that the ophthalmologist’s report suggested that N. Chandrababu Naidu required an eye operation. Yet, when the government learned of this, they sent the police to pressure the doctor to retract the report. Nara Lokesh indicated that he possesses both reports, which contradict each other, expressing that this manipulation has eroded their trust in this government. He also conveyed his fear about what they might do to N. Chandrababu Naidu under the guise of medical tests.
Furthermore, Nara Lokesh pointed out that N. Chandrababu Naidu is the only NSG protectee in South India. He raised concerns about a Maoist threat to attack the jail and harm the former CM, which the government has taken no action on. He questioned why the government has not addressed the drones flying over the jail or the issue of ganja trafficking. He strongly questioned the DIG, DG, and Home Minister, seeking an explanation as to how images of the former CM’s entry into the jail became public.
Nara Lokesh asserted that people are witnessing the situations in which YSRCP leaders are planning to harm N. Chandrababu Naidu in prison. He mentioned the statements by YSRCP MP Gorantla Madhav in Anantapur, where the MP reportedly said that the former CM would die in jail. Nara Lokesh also exposed the ill intentions of the ruling party leaders in Andhra Pradesh, suggesting that they intend to target his mother, Nara Bhuvaneswari, as she seeks truth and justice through her ‘Nijam Gelavali’.
Nara Lokesh firmly stated that the YSRC government has failed to produce a single piece of evidence against N. Chandrababu Naidu, his family, friends, companies, or TDP accounts in any of the cases, such as those related to Skill Development, the Inner Ring road, or FiberNet, filed against the former CM.
The TDP National General Secretary criticized the state government for allocating significant funds to lawyers solely to keep N. Chandrababu Naidu in jail while ignoring the problems of the farmers. Nara Lokesh pointed out that there is a significant crop loss of 32 lakh acres in Andhra Pradesh, yet the government has not addressed it, and CM Jagan, his ministers and MLAs have not engaged with farmers to address their problems. Nara Lokesh also questioned the government about the issues of unemployment and rising prices of essential commodities in the state.
Additionally, Nara Lokesh raised questions about the apparent manipulation of the system, as evidenced by how CM Jagan has been on bail for the past ten years and how his brother, YSRCP MP Avinash Reddy, who was involved in the killing of his uncle, is also at liberty. He further stated that if the system weren’t manipulated, how could the police obstruct the CBI from arresting Avinash Reddy.
Nara Lokesh continued by highlighting the TDP’s achievements, such as establishing six centers of excellence, 34 TSDI centers, providing training to 2,13,000 individuals, and helping 85,000 people secure jobs through the skill development project. The TDP also connected 10 lakhs households through Fibregrid, generating Rs 100 crore in annual revenue for Andhra Pradesh. He emphasized that N. Chandrababu Naidu was never summoned during the ED inquiry, and there has been no scrutiny of their IT returns in the past four years because they have not committed any wrongdoing.
