In view of the on-going Madras and Delhi Horse Race Matches, Narsingi Police, Cyberabad Police Commissionerate have been watching the activity of Horse Race betting teams and the individuals indulging in this illegal activity of Horse Race betting. As a result, on 08-03-2022 in the late hours the Narsingi PS staff on credible information about online horse race betting being organized at Flat No. 704, E-Block, Lansum Etania, Puppalguda, N/o Akuthotapalli village, Amangal Mandal, RR District, # 9160474738, under the limits of Narsingi PS and apprehended 01 respondent who are illegally organizing online betting on live Horse Races held WhatsApp Groups and earning money illegally.
Further it is coming to know that the accused person Myalapatla Kranthi Kumar s/o M. Krishna Reddy, age: 33 years, Occ: Business (real estate), hailed from karmangat area and staying in lansum etania since last three months and he started to play horse race betting with unknown whatsApp Groups and has lost money as such he hatched plan to cheat innocent people by organizing horse race betting’s through WhatsApp Groups. According to his plan he created a whatsapp group namely “Shakthi “wherein he started cheating innocent people in the name of getting profits through betting as per his version there are 120 innocent people who believed his words and lost money in betting through google pay and phone pe.
It is observed that employed and unemployed youth both are indulged in this online horse race betting (who is greedy to have easy income) and losing huge amounts.
MO of the offence: –
In this case the accused person having knowledge on horse race betting and will coordinate with the registered licensed Bookies, they all together will have a WhatsApp group with different group names along with their customers and they will directly bet by seeing the odds, this will be regular process, where in the accused in this case will separately create another WhatsApp group by making the people to believe that they will get huge profits in this betting saying that he will post the odds in this group by forwarding the odds from main group, it is nothing but running a parallel betting centre as of the registered licensed Bookies. The mode of money transaction from the public through Paytm/g-pay/phone pe and intentionally holds the amount with him instead of betting on horses with licensed bookies. After completion of the race, he used to deceive the public that they have lost in betting as their selected horses god defeated in race or could not achieve 1st 2nd 3rd position. The person who sends money to the accused kranthi doesn’t know the licensed bookie to know the real fact or to ascertain the fact. Thus, he used to deceive public and holds huge amounts with him in his bank account to gain easy money from innocent public.
