YCP job melas in universities objectionable: MLC
Hold job melas in Tadepalli palace or Lotus Pond.
AMARAVATI: TDP MLC Mantena Satyanarayana Raju on Saturday strongly criticised Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy for ‘betraying’ youth by not fulfilling his promise to fill 2.30 lakh job vacancies in the State.
Satyanarayana Raju said instead of fulfilling his pre-election promise, the CM started playing gimmicks by conducting job melas for his party activists.
In a statement here, the TDP MLC recalled how the ruling YSRCP leaders had made a huge promise to provide jobs to youth cutting across caste, creed and religion. But after coming to power, they showed an empty hand to the unemployed educated youth.
Raju questioned that rationale behind the YSRCP conducting job melas for its party workers in the Government universities. How could the university campuses be used for the political interests of the ruling party? If the Chief Minister was that much interested, these job melas should be held in his Tadepalli palace or Lotus Pond.
The TDP MLC asked what would be the fate of remaining jobless youth if the ruling YSRCP would continue to hold job melas only for its activists. Who would address the employment creation activities for over 60 lakh unemployed youth in the State.
Raju deplored that the ruling YSRCP was misusing the Sate universities to give fake jobs that would engage youth to distribute cash to voters on its behalf in the next elections. Moreover, these jobs would involve creating election disturbances at polling booths.
The TDP MLC pointed out that already, the YCP had appointed its own activists as volunteers to keep an eye on 50 houses each all over the State. These volunteers were only extorting beneficiaries of welfare schemes while some were committing atrocities on women. CM Jagan Reddy was solely focusing on benefits to his party activists while totally neglecting educted youth.
Satyanarayana Raju said that over 400 jobless youth committed suicides unable to find jobs in the past three years of Jagan Reddy rule. AP had also slipped to 4th position in the States with the highest unemployment rate. Not a single industry came and not a single real job notification was given till now.
The TDP MLC deplored tht under the Jagan rule, the condition of unemployed youth was deteriorating day by day. The CM was only busy giving fake jobs to his party activists only to misuse them and destroy their golden future.
