-Jagan rule reducing financial burdens: TD MLA
-Amma Vodi, Vasathi Deevena for fewer students
AMARAVATI: TDP MLA Dola Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy on Wednesday held the Jagan Reddy Government’s inefficient policies responsible for the large-scale failure of students in the intermediate examinations.Swamy advised the Chief Minister to review their policies instead of giving lame excuses that Coronavirus was the reason for massive failure percentages in intermediate and 10th exams.
Addressing a press conference here, the TDP MLA said only 61 percent AP students passed in intermediate exams this year as against 90 percent in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. This was enough to show how the YSRCP Government had tarnished the entire education system in Andhra Pradesh.
Veeranjaneya Swamy asked CM Jagan and Minister Adimulapu Suresh to take responsibility for the massive failure of students. All damage was done during the term of Suresh as the education minister. He only focused all his attention on grabbing lands and collecting fees from students in his educational institutions.
Expressing concern, the TDP MLA said that doubts were arising that the Government was deliberately lowering standards and results to reduce the financial burden under Amma Vodi, Vasathi Deevena and Vidya Deevena. If fewer students passed, the Government could give benefits to lesser numbers.
The TDP MLA said that the intermediate students got 90 percent pass in TDP rule but it was now brought down to 61 percent. The 10th class students got 90 percent pass in TDP rule but it came down to just 67 percent now. The latest results announced by Minister Botsa Satyanarayana caused a lot of anguish to parents and students.
Swamy recalled how CM Jagan had betrayed teachers and employees by not fulfilling his election promises on PRC. The Chief Minister had also hurt teachers by not cancelling the CPS. While TDP rule recruited teachers through two DSCs, Jagan Reddy did not give a single DSC in the past three years.
The TDP MLA said the ruling YSRCP leaders committed Rs. 3,500 Cr fraud in giving colours to educational institutions. Nadu Nedu has only caused huge frauds but not raised educational standards. In the name of mergers and transfers, the teachers were put to indescribable pain and suffering.
