-Govt has no right to take back DA funds: Ashok Babu
-CS suspended AB but not Sri Lakshmi: Jawahar
AMARAVATI: TDP MLC Parchuri Ashok Babu and ex Minister K.S. Jawahar on Wednesday demanded the YSRCP Government to release a white paper on multi-crore DA arrears to be paid to the employees.
The TDP leaders asserted that the Jagan regime owed an explanation how it could violate rules to take back over Rs. 800 Cr of DA arrears from the employees’ GPF (general provident fund) accounts.
Addressing a press conference here, Ashok Babu strongly criticised the employees’ associations for not raising their voice against the Government’s severe injustice. The Government had shown the DA arrears as having been paid to employees but the same was not reflecting in salary slips.
Ashok Babu said that the Government had no right to take back DA arrears once they were passed in CFMS and deposited in GPF. Just like in his family and suitcase companies, Jagan Reddy was committing financial irregularities even in constitutional systems and entities.
The TDP MLC raised doubts that the Government was showing DA arrears as having paid in order to falsify figures regarding its excess loans. Even the Centre had objected to the AP Government changing excise duty to retail excise duty so as to divert this amount to the arbitrarily created development coporation.
K.S. Jawahar slammed the Chief Minister for continuing his financial frauds without telling the public what his regime had done with Rs. 30,000 Cr of loans brought in the past two months. The Jagan Government has diverted Rs. 6,700 Cr of PF and Panchayat Raj funds, Rs. 2,118 Cr of women’s Abhaya Hastam, Rs. 1,000 Cr of construction workers insurance funds and Rs. 3,000 Cr of paddy farmers.
Th TDP leader asked why Chief Secretary Sameer Sarma had suspended senior IPS officer A.B. Venkateswara Rao without taking any action against the highly tainted IAS officer Sri Lakshmi. If Sameer Sarma continued to violate rules, he would also meet with the same fate as that of Sri Lakshmi.
Jawahar recalled how Jagan Reddy had called L.V. Subrahmanyam and Gautham Sawang as ‘annas’ (elder brothers) but eventually insulted them. Jagan would go down in history as a CM who had suppressed employees, teachers and workers.
