Corruption reached its peak in YSRCP rule, say TDP leaders

Amaravathi, Oct 29: The former minister and senior TDP leader, Mr Pattipati Pulla Rao, and the vice-president of the state party unit, Mr Buragadda Veda Vyas on Saturday said that the financial condition of the State has touched the bottom level after Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy has become the Chief Minister.

The hospitals are sending back the patients without treatment as the Government is not making payments under the Arogya Sri scheme. It is a fact that lakhs of rupees are being paid as salaries to the employees of the media houses owned by Mr Jagan, the TDP leaders told media persons at the party headquarters here.

“The people of the State are now witnessing how the administration functions if an economic offender becomes a Chief Minister,” Mr Pattipati Pulla Rao said. Observing that corruption has reached its peak during the YSRCP rule, he said that the media houses owned by Mr Jagan are born out of this corruption and all the branches of these media houses besides the head office are functioning under the supervision of the ruling dispensation.

No other State in the country is witnessing such a situation, Mr Pulla Rao felt and said that the Rythu Bharosa centres are not functioning impartially in any corner of the State. The former minister is of the strong opinion that the three capital issue is a big drama being utilised only for political purposes and that the very idea is not possible for implementation.

Stating that the people of the State accepted Amaravathi as the capital long ago, Mr Pulla Rao said that the people in the Rayalaseema region do not have any respect for the ruling YSRCP. “Is it not a fact that Mr Jagan too openly declared that Amaravathi is the capital of the State and that he is building his residence here,” the former minister asked.

The people of the State are eagerly waiting to send home Mr Jagan at the earliest possible as they are not in a position to bear his rule any longer, he said. Mr Jagan always utters blatant lies and his statement on the pending dues of Aarogya Sri are the classic example of this. “At least Rs 600 cr is to be paid to various hospitals in the State under this scheme,” Mr Pulla Rao pointed out.

The YSRCP leaders have resorted to Gobel propaganda that the then TDP government had appointed 35 police officers as DSPs belonging to the Kamma community, he said and asked how the YSRCP now appointed 854 officers belonging to a particular community. Mr Pulla Rao said that the public money is being misused in the shape of salaries to the employees working in Mr Jagan’s media houses.

The YSRCP Government knows only demolitions but not constructions, Mr Pulla Rao observed and said that except taking political gains, the Jagan Mohan Reddy Government has till now not taken any measures with regard to the development sector. People will no longer believe Mr Jagan, he added.

Mr Pulla Rao is of the opinion that Mr Jagan lost people’s confidence but the Chief Minister is only trying to bring in division among the people in the name of three capitals only for political gain. “How can the people expect the Chief Minister, who could not complete the construction of the buildings which are nearing completion, will go for three capitals,” he asked.

The former minister wants the Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi, to interfere in this matter as already enough time has lapsed. “The five crore people of the State want Mr Modi to interfere and put an end to this three capital slogan,” Mr Pulla Rao said.

The TDP state unit vice-president and former deputy speaker of the Assembly, Mr Buragadda Veda Vyas, asked what is the use of several advisors to the Chief Minister, though crores of rupees of public money is being paid to them as remuneration. He said that the statements being given by the Chief Minister do not have any credibility as people lost faith in him.

The State is now witnessing a dictatorial regime and there are no democratic values in the State, he said, adding that crores or rupees are being diverted to media houses owned by Mr Jagan in the shape of advertisements.
