Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh, July 21: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy chaired a review meeting with the heads of the departments on sustainable development goals (SDG). In the meeting, the CM reiterated that the Government has made numerous efforts to achieve the sustainable development goals. but if it is not being reflected or reported well, these achievements do not see the light under SDG. “We are competing at a national level to stand as no.1 in the country, but there is a need to focus on thorough monitoring and effective reporting on the achievements under SDG,” CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said.

The Chief Minister further directed the district collectors that there is a need to update comprehensive information related to SDGs and take responsibility for monitoring the SDG reports along with the department heads every month. “At least 2 review meetings should be taken up with the district collectors and develop strict SOPs in place. Our target is to reach 100% in the education department. There have been revolutionary changes and development programs that our government has brought in the fields of medicine, health, education, and agriculture which are not found in any other state in the country, and it should reflect as achievements in SDG” CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said.

CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy further added that through DBT, the government has disbursed Rs. 1.65 Cr under government schemes. “There are schemes in our state that can make a visible mark in every field, but there seems to be no proper reporting to Amma Vodi, Sampoorrna Poshana, Gorumudda, Vidya Kanuka, Vidya Deevena. These are some highlighted schemes that have never seen the light during the previous regime. In the health sector, we provide nearly 3000 treatment procedures under YSR Arogyasri.
