Amaravathi, Nov 3: The TDP national president and former chief minister, Mr Nara Chandrababu Naidu, on Thursday said that the arrest of the former minister and senior TDP leader, Mr Chintakayala Ayyannaptrudu, is the height of the anarchic rule in the State.
Mr Chandrababu Naidu told media persons at the party headquarters here that whenever the State Government faces some major problem, the ruling party is trying to divert the public attention by filing false cases against the TDP leaders. Now Ms Sharmila, the sister of the Chief Minister, Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy, gave a statement to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) with regard to the murder of their paternal uncle, Mr YS Vivekananda Reddy, in which she clearly mentiowho was behind the murder, Mr Chandrababu said.
Now the TDP is fighting against the illegal occupation of lands by the ruling YSRCP leaders in the port city of Visakhapatnam, the former chief minister said adding that to divert the
public attention from both these issues, a false case has been registered against Mr Ayyannapatrudu. The High Court too had given orders on the illegal mining in Rishikonda, the TDP national president said and asked how Mr Jagan can face the public now.
Pointing out that the police went to Mr Ayyannapatrudu’s house at 3 am in the midnight, Mr Chandrababu asked whether the former minister had committed any murders or atrocities or any other crime like Mr Jagan’s uncle. Mr Ayyannapatrudu’s wife has said that the police barged into their house like thieves and some of them are found in a drunken state.
Stating that the ancestors of Mr Ayyannapatrudu were very generous and donated hundreds of acres of land while his grand father too was an MLA, Mr Chandrababu asked how Mr Ayyannapatrudu, who comes from such family can occupy two cents of land as is being claimed by the police to take him into custody.
“Yours is a family which even amended the law to come out of the illegal occupation of the assigned lands. The TDP thoroughly exposed the Late Mr YS Rajasekhara Reddy, on the floor of the Assembly on the encroachment of 650 acres in Idupulapaya,” Mr Chandrababu said. Also, the late YSR built his house in Hyderabad on a land occupied forcibly and the court too gave the order against the family members of the Late YSR but Mr Ayyannapatrudu does not come under such category, he added.
Mr Chandrababu questioned Mr Jagan can he initiate action against his uncle, who built a film theatre on the Wakf land in Kadapa. Mr Jagan is resorting to filing false cases against the TDP leaders and harassing them, the former chief minister said and predicted that the YSRCP leaders will have to pay a very heavy price for this.
Though Mr Sankaraiah, an accused in the murder of Mr Vivekananda Reddy, admitted the facts, later he was forced to withdraw his statement and the inspector, who was suspended in the same murder case, was later given promition for a higher post, Mr Chandrababu pointed out. How Mr Ayyannapatrudu can be accused number one in the case, he said and felt that since there is no other issue that can be raised against the former minister this false case has been foisted against him.
“If this is the situation in the State now, cases can be booked against any individual,” Mr Chandrababu said and made it clear that the TDP, when it comes back to power, will certainly take an example from this. The officials of the CID wing have surrendered before the Government, he said and stated that the TDP leaders will not remain silent on such issues.
How a rape case can be foisted against the 70-year-old Mr Ayyannapatrudu, he asked and said that this is nothing but officlal terrorism. Constitutional provisions still exist in the country and those who violate the provisions will be punished, he added.
Though Ms Sharmila has already gave a statement on the persons invoilved in the murder of Mr Viveka, why the persons responsible for the killing are not taken into custody till now, he asked. To cover up all these issues and to divert the public attention, now the arrest of Mr Ayyananpatrudu has been brought onto the scene, Mr Chandrababu stated.
Cautioning the YSRCP leaders that every dog has its own day, he said the history of Mr Jagan is criminal. Mr Chandrababu made it quite clear that the officials who are resorting to such acts will be facing the music soon. The former chief minister demanded the DIG to explain the reasons as to how Mr Ayyannapatrudu be the accused number one in the case.
