Jagan should explain on Rs 43,000 Cr illegal assets: ex Minister
False charges made in skill development centres case
AMARAVATI: TDP former minister Nakka Ananda Babu on Saturday accused the Jaganmohan Reddy Government of misusing the police to file fabricated cases against honest officers so as to take a misplaced political vengeance.
Ananda Babu said the officials concerned have clearly said that all instruments and items were supplied to the 40 skill development centres across the State. But still, the YSRCP regime filed false cases against retired IAS officer K. Lakshminarayana and Ghanta Subba Rao. False charges were made that Rs. 241 Cr fraud took place in these centres.
In a statement here, the TDP leader demanded that the Chief Minister should explain how corruption took place when the officials of skill development centres gave signed letters that there was no fraud. The CM was using the blue media to level corruption allegations against others only to cover his own massive scams and thousands of crores worth frauds.
Ananda Babu strongly criticised the Government that MLA K. Atchannaidu was illegally kept in jail by implicating him in a false case regarding the ESI transactions. Former MLA Dhulipalla Narendra was put in jail in the name of false corruption charges in the Sangam Dairy. False allegations of Rs. 2,000 Cr frauds were made in the Fibernet project which was completed with just Rs. 700 Cr.
The TDP leader asked CM Jagan Reddy to explain why the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had accused him of amassing Rs. 43,000 Cr of corruption. The Telangana CBI court had said the Jagan Reddy family got Rs. 1,246 Cr investments into the Jagathi Publications while they had not put a single rupee investment.
Ananda Babu recalled how the Telangana CBI court had also made an observation on November 7, 2021, that Jagan Reddy misused power during his father YSR rule to commit corruption on a massive scale. Even recently, the IT raids on Vijaya Sai Reddy and Hetero on October 13, 2021, led to seizure of Rs. 1,200 Cr illegal property.
The TDP leader said Jagan Reddy was the accused number 1 in over 19 cases relating to Rs. 43,000 Cr worth of corruption. Only to divert public attention from such corruption charges, CM Jagan Reddy got a false case filed on Ghanta Subba Rao who has been known as the Abdul Kalam of the South. Jagan Reddy should explain why he was avoiding the court for years together in his illegal assets cases.
