Congress Legislature Party leader Bhatti Vikramarka has said that there was total break down of rule of law in Telangana State as even police officers whose salaries were paid from taxes paid by people were working to serve the interests of ruling party and the sand mafia.
There cannot be more abominable action than this and the ruling party leaders were using police force for their vested interests and not for protecting the lives and property of people. Such an undemocratic government in the State achieved by people after a lot of struggle was the bane of Telangana, he said.
Addressing a press conference at lunch break at Nagampeta in Huzurabad constituency of Karimnagar district on Friday, Mr.Bhatti who is on padayatra for more than a month now regretted that under the BRS government, the wealth of Telangana has disappeared and the State now has a debt burden of Rs.5 lakh crore.
No new jobs were created in the State and the TSPSC notification issued at long last brought some hope to unemployed but the leakage of question paper and its sale to their near and dear by the accused in question paper leakage had dashed the hopes of youth aspiring for government jobs.
Listing out the atrocities of BRS government, the CLP leader said there was neither land distribution nor construction of houses for the poor. On the other hand, prices of essential commodities were increased steeply and there was no system to regulate the prices of essential commodities. The Centre and the State were literally playing ‘football’ with the people and the people were caught between the two governments like the devil and the deep sea.
BJP and BRS are hand in glove
The Centre had increased manifold the prices of cooking gas, essential commodities, petrol and diesel and the State also added its VAT component to increase the fuel prices further. Both Centre and State governments were taking people for a ride with their deceitful words. Instead of implementing assurances given in the past, leaders of BJP and BRS were making new promises just to hoodwink the people, he alleged.
Pointing out that Prime Minister Narendra Modi who promised to give two crore jobs a year, should have given 20 crore jobs by now. But he utterly failed in keeping his promise. Ironically his disciple and State BJP President Bandi Sanjay was busy reeling out false promises about providing two lakh jobs per year in the State.
After pushing the State into a debt burden of over Rs.5 lakh crore, KCR now was ironically bragging that he would implement Telangana model across the State. The KCR government failed to provide drinking water to households after spending Rs.42,000 crore for Mission Bhagiratha and the Rs.1 lakh crore Kaleshwaram project failed to irrigate even one additional acre with Godavari water. Can these schemes be described as Telangana model? The BRS government was only interested in making more money in the name of Telangana model by suppressing the ground reality, he criticised.
Both the BJP and BRS apparently have a clandestine understanding . No less than top BJP leaders – Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah would come to Hyderabad and issue serious warnings that they would unravel the scams and corruption indulged in by KCR government and they even said Kaleswharam became an ATM for the BRS but strangely they would not take any action or order an inquiry. “Why is this so”? Bhatti asked.
Leaders of Prime Minister and Home Minister level would not make serious allegations without basis and substantial evidence. In spite of being in possession of reports and evidence to prove their charges against BRS government, the Centre was not taking any action against the KCR government. It was clear that they were only confining themselves to mere words and misleading Telangana society and people.
Mr.Bhatti alleged that both BJP and BRS were playing a diabolical game and acting as if they were opponents just to figure in the news every day. Predicting confidently that the next would be Congress government , Mr.Bhatti said the State BJP President Bandi Sanjay was repeating himself for the last one year that the corrupt would be put behind the bars and they would come to power in the next election and provide two lakh jobs every year like a man possessed but no action was taken by the Centre against the corrupt KCR government.
Exposing the ‘deceitful’ nature of KCR, Mr.Bhatti said Telangana was achieved on the promise of providing ‘water, funds and jobs’ to Telangana people but he provided nothing under his tenure. He trampled on the self-respect and self-esteem of people and put those who questioned his misdeeds in the jail and been harassing them with cases. In the last nine and a half years, no where crop compensation was given. It was the Congress government that always came to the rescue of farmers in distress and paid compensation during cyclones.
The only progress KCR government achieved was in increasing liquor sales and raising loans by mortgaging State resources. This is what is his ‘Telangana model’ and with his boastful words and arrogance, he single handedly destroyed the State, Mr.Bhatti alleged.
Congress govt will restore self-respect, fulfil goals of providing water, funds and jobs:
Emphasising that people were fed up with KCR rule and determined to bring back Indiramma government, he said only Congress Party that gave Telangana would fulfil the goals of separate State and provide water, funds and jobs and restore the self-respect of Telangana people. In 2023 it is Congress Party that will form government in the State, he asserted.
Mr.Bhatti reiterated that soon after Congress Party came to power, it would waive Rs.2 lakh crop loan, sanction Rs.5 lakh for construction of houses, provide gas cylinder for Rs.500, give house sites to landless poor. As given in the past to Dwcra women and under Indira Kranthi Patham, pavala vaddi and interest free loans would be extended . Aam admi Bhima Yojana, Rs.12,000 would be deposited under Kuli Bandhu into the accounts of the landless poor. Measures would be taken to extend financial assistance to tenant farmers.
The Congress leader promised that the Congress government would regulate the prices of essential commodities, provide nine types of commodities along with rice to the ration cardholders, and Rs.2 lakh loan waiver would be implemented at one go.
The river waters would be considered as State resource and like SRSP, surplus waters would be extended for irrigation. Sand mafia operators would be curtailed and measures be taken to provide natural resources to people and salaries would be paid on first of every month to employees.
The Congress government would use police and official machinery only to serve people and people’s welfare and will not use them to serve the vested interests of ruling party. The teachers’ transfers will be effected in summer vacation itself and English medium will be implemented in all government schools and special training will be provided to teachers of English medium, he said.
