On the 215th day of his Yuvagalam Padayatra, TDP National General Secretary Nara Lokesh entered Pithapuram and received a warm welcome from the people of the constituency. People lined up on both sides of the road, with many other climbing buildings and waving their hands in support of Nara Lokesh. In his padayatra, the young TDP leader is meeting several sections of people to understand their problems. As part of his interaction initiatives, a ‘Selfie with Nara Lokesh’ program was organized at the Padagaya campsite, where he took pictures with about a thousand people.
Nara Lokesh interacted with representatives of the Private Teachers and Lecturers Association at the Pithapuram Kukkuteswaraswamy temple center and noted their problems. They mentioned that there are 4 lakhs of private teachers and lecturers across the state, living with less salaries. They urged Lokesh to issue them government identity cards and enable them to apply for government schemes, PF, and ESI facilities once TDP comes to power. In their petition, they asked for a separate corporation for private teachers and the establishment of a fund to provide insurance to the families of the deceased.
In response, Nara Lokesh highlighted the corruption in the education sector under Jagan Mohan Reddy’s regime. He mentioned that the current CM is harassing private educational institutions and collecting “J-Tax” by imposing various regulations. Assuring that TDP will apply government schemes to private teachers and lecturers, along with providing facilities like ESI, PF, and insurance, Nara Lokesh expressed his commitment to the welfare of private teachers.
The TDP National General Secretary also met people from the SC community at Pithapuram Ambedkar Center. After hearing their pleas, Nara Lokesh criticized Jagan Reddy for the massacre of Dalits in the state, despite coming to power with their votes. He stated that the CM discontinued 27 welfare schemes implemented by the TDP government for Dalits. Nara Lokesh assured that TDP would take steps to return lands grabbed from Dalits and restore the welfare schemes canceled by the YSRCP government. Along with promising to fill the SC and ST backlog posts, the young leader revealed that strict action would be taken against those who harass Dalits.
