Govt not giving facilities in Jagananna colonies: TDP

YCP betraying SC, ST, BC and Minorities: Pattabhi
Who would give Rs 4,500 Cr to Discoms?

AMARAVATI: TDP national spokesman K. Pattabhi Ram on Saturday accused the YSRCP Government of cheating the SC, ST, BC and Minorities in the name of Jagananna Colonies.

Pattabhi Ram strongly criticised the Government for abdicating its responsibility to provide Rs. 4,500 Cr to the Discoms to provide current connections in the upcoming Jagananna Colonies.

Addressing a press conference here, the TDP leader termed it as ‘administrative bankruptcy’ on the part of the Government to ask the Discoms to mobilise loans for Rs. 4,500 Cr so as to give current connections to 14.8 lakh houses. Which bank or financial institution would give such a huge loan to the Discoms when they were already stuck in a deep debt?

Pattabhi said if the Jagan Reddy regime was really committed to the weaker section housing, it would have provided the required funds. The Government seemed to have forgotten that it had brought Rs. 30,000 Cr loans already in the name of Discoms. The Central financial institutions have already declared AP as a defaulter State in loan repayments.

The TDP leader asked how the Chief Minister could blame the opposition when his Government had miserably failed even to start works on the so-called Jagananna Colonies. Everything about these colonies was suspicious. The CM was addressing weaker sections as ‘my SCs, my BCs, my STs and my Minorities’ but not doing anything worthwhile for their upliftment.

Pattabhi said that the YSRCP leaders should realise that the people of AP were not ready to believe in their betrayal statements any more. In the Gadapa Gadapaku programme, the people were chasing away the YCP MLAs, MPs and other leaders. A full-fledged revolt had already started at the grassroot level and it had slipped beyond the control of the ruling party.

The TDP leader slammed the Government for giving house sites in burial grounds, hills, canals and ponds, which were uninhabitable.
