Jagan planning to go for early polls with fear of losing power, feels Chandrababu

Amaravathi, Dec 14: The former chief minister and TDP national president, Mr Nara Chandrababu Naidu, on Wednesday felt that the fear of losing power is haunting the Chief Minister, Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy, and he is planning to go for early elections.

Reviewing the progress of the ‘Idemi Kharma Mana Rashtraniki’ programme taken up by the TDP in the State, Mr Chandrababu Naidu said that whenever the elections to the Assembly are held, the YSRCP will certainly get trounced. Mr Chandrababu said that the ‘Idemi Kharma’ programme is getting tremendous response from the public as all the sections are coming into open in support of the TDP and are openly discussing their problems.

Mr Jagan got to know the growing anti-incumbency by the day and thus he is planning to go for early elections, Mr Chandrababu felt. “Mr Jagan is now contemplating whether to go to the polls either in May or October or wait till 2024,” the TDP supremo observed.
Till the other day Mr Jagan somehow managed everyone not to question the failures of his Government but after the TDP started its programmes like ‘Badude Badudu’ and ‘Idemi Kharma’ the situation totally changed, Mr Chandrababu Naidu said. “Now everyone is coming out openly and discussing the failures of the Government besides raising the issues,” he said.

Despite issuing threats to the beneficiaries by the volunteers that their pensions will be withheld and other schemes will be discontinued, the people are turning out in large numbers to the TDP public meetings, he said and added that the financial condition of the State is very pathetic following which pensions to several beneficiaries are not being paid. Mr Chandrababu Naidu promised to revive all the schemes once the TDP is back in power.

Expressing serious concern that the farmers are facing several difficulties to sell their products, Mr Chandrababu felt that with the wrong policies being adopted by Mr Jagan both the State and the people are suffering a lot. “The situation is such that the salaries of the Government employees have not been paid till 13th of this month,” he pointed out.

Over 12 lakh housing units were built when the TDP was in power but now only five houses were constructed after the YSRCP came to power, Mr Chandrababu Naidu said and told the party leaders to discuss this issue during their ‘Idemi Kharma’ programme. He is of the opinion that Andhra Pradesh is far behind other States in the country in GSDP due to the faulty policies of Mr Jagan and wanted the party leaders to discuss all these issues with the public during their next ‘Idemi Kharma’ programme.
