-Jagan Reddy breached trust of people: TDP
-People trusted promises, gave 151 MLAs: Atchannaidu
-No connection between Jagan’s words and deeds
TDP state president K. Atchannaidu termed it as a misfortune that for the first time in the country, a lawless Chief Minister was presiding over an atrocious Government to afflict and oppress the 5 crore people of Andhra Pradesh.
Atchannaidu said the people gave a massive mandate despite knowing about the huge corruption and illegal assets cases against Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy. He committed one lakh worth corruption by taking advantage of his father YSR regime and spent 16 months in jail. But still, the people gave him 151 out of 175 MLAs.
Addressing the state-level party meeting here, the TDP leader said everybody expected Jagan Reddy to provide a good administration since the people reposed so much trust in his
leadership and promises. But the past two and half years have only revealed that there was no connection between Jagan Reddy’s words and actions.
Atchannaidu criticised that the Chief Minister was behaving as if no other political party should survive except himself and his party in the State. All sorts of atrocious activities were taken up to crush and destroy the Telugu Desam Party. However, the TDP workers and sympathisers strongly fought back against the ulterior plans of the ruling party leaders.
The TDP leader asserted that their party was born out the trust of the people and out of the sweat of the workers. The TDP was formed to work for the upliftment of the poorer sections. Jagan Reddy and his father and his grandfather would not be able to destroy the TDP.
Atchannaidu said the ruling YSRCP has harassed by not paying the bills to the TDP leaders who mortgaged their properties and carried out development works. They tried to offer inducements, attacked assets and filed false cases. But the TDP activists did not surrender and continued their fight. In a shameless manner, the YSRCP resorted to an attack on the Chandrababu residence as well.
The TDP leader warned that Jagan Reddy would not be able to prove any allegations against Chandrababu Naidu in his lifetime. They could not find a single irregularity in the fiber grid project. The TDP established skill development centres at 40 colleges under the Rs. 3,300 Cr Siemens and Design Tech project. CM Jagan did not bring one single such massive project for the sake of the students.
Atchannaidu said during the YSR regime, all sorts of ill gotten money flowed into the accounts of Jagan Reddy. Nothing of that sort happened with regard to Chandrababu Naidu or Lokesh. Jagan can check their accounts if needed. In the past five months, the TDP was rising like a wave all over the State. The ruling party leaders were growing impatient and frustrated over the rising public resentment.
