Lokesh demands withdrawal of Ayyanna cases

-AP police adopted discriminatory approach
-Law-breaking YCP leaders not being controlled
-Police implementing Raja Reddy constitution

AMARAVATI: TDP National General Secretary Nara Lokesh on Wednesday demanded that the YSRCP Government unconditionally withdraw the false cases filed against former Minister Ch. Ayyanna Patrudu.

Lokesh condemned the discriminatory manner in which the AP police were victimising the opposition TDP leaders. The ruling YSRCP leaders were not being touched despite their threats and manhandling of the police officers themselves.

In a statement here, Lokesh asked how could the police come to arrest Ayyanna Patrudu just for making some truthful remarks against the ruling party leaders. In such a case, the ruling YSRCP leaders should be hanged for their constant abuses and threats being made against all sections.

Nara Lokesh wondered whether the abusive slurs and indecent remarks were sounding like music for the ears of the AP police officers. The police did not take minimum action in cases filed against the ruling party leaders. Whereas, some police officers were travelling distances and crossing the boundaries of districts to make illegal arrests of the opposition leaders on flimsy grounds.

Lokesh deplored that the police were committing all sorts of illegalities as part of implementing the oppressive Raja Reddy constitution in place of the people-friendly Ambedkar constitution. The AP police were special as they were implementing the Raja Reddy constitution while the rest of the country were implementing the Indian constitution.

Nara Lokesh asked why there was no action against the YCP Ministers who were catching the police by the collar and threatening them. The YCP leaders were becoming bold enough to break the beer bottles and showing them to challenge the police to do whatever they could. The khaki dress would have some respect if the police would restrain such unruly and lawless YCP leaders.
