AMARAVATI: TDP National President and former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday expressed deep grief over the death of Karnataka former Minister Raghupathi Naidu.
Naidu said that Raghupathi Naidu gave protection to the Telugu Desam Party MLAs in Karnataka when the NTR Government was brought down in 1984. “Ever since Raghupathi Naidu became a close friend to both myself and NTR”.
In a tweet here, the TDP chief said that Raghupathi Naidu had served as a Minister in key portfolios in the cabinets of Karnataka former CMs Ramakrishna Hegde and S.R. Bommai. Since the 1984 crisis, Raghupathi Naidu has continued to be a wellwisher and a friend for the TDP,Naidu prayed for peace to the soul of the departed leader and conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family members.
