Naidu on a two-day visit to flood-hit areas

Amaravathi, July 21: Former chief minister and TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu is on a two-day ground visit of the flood-hit areas of the both combined Godavari districts. On Thursday and Friday he will visit all these areas to have the first hand information on the damage caused in the rain-hit areas.

Not only that. He wants to personally know how exactly the people in these areas are suffering and come to their rescue in whatever way possible besides assessing the damage caused due to the floods. In the wake of the huge floods in this area, Mr Chandrababub6Naidu wants to know the impact as well as the grievances of the people. He will also inquire about the damage caused to agriculture, horticulture and property besides finding out from the locals who are camping at relief centres whether they are getting adequate food supply, medicines, milk and other essentials.

The recent flash floods ravaged both the combined Godavari districts affecting several families throwing them onto the roads. Mr Chandrababu Naidu wanted to have a direct interaction with these families to provide them some solace. As these flood-hit families areb1 yet to get any relief from the Government, Mr Chandrababu wants to mount pressure on State Governments to immediately take measures to provide them some relief and rehabilitation.

When the State Government miserably failed in the rescue operation and when the locals complained that Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, except making an aerial survey of the areas, has not done anything for them, taking it seriously Mr Chandrababu Naidu promised them to take possible measures to provide relief to them.

Mr Naidu has already said that the State Government has miserably failed in the rescue and relief operation of the people who are facing hardships due to the Godavari floods. He has said that the Chief Minister left the people in the lurch and did not conduct the field visit to have first-hand information on the damage caused due to these floods.
