-CM illtreating Arya Vysyas
-Jagan not honouring Konijeti Rosaiah
AMARAVATI: TDP National President and former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday paid rich tributes to Amarajeevi Potti Sriramulu on the occasion of his birth anniversary celebrations.
Naidu said the linguistic States were formed in the country only after supreme sacrifice made by Sriramulu. For the sake of a separate State, he has gone on fast for 58 days and laid down his life.
After garlanding Sriramulu’s statue at the party office, the TDP chief met with leaders and representatives of Arya Vysya community. They said that the businessmen and traders were being put to humiliation and suffering under the YSRCP rule.
The Vysya leaders said that false cases were being filed against them on the pretext that they criticised the Government. They told Naidu that they also required an atrocities prevention law to protect their rights.
Chandrababu Naidu termed it unfortunate that a rowdy regime was causing lots of problems for the people in AP now. The TDP never believed in goondaism and it never supported anti-social elements. The YCP Government was harassing the traders and making illegal collections from them. The TDP would stand by the side of the affected sections in this regard.
Naidu deplored that in addition to the GST, the traders were being forced to pay JST which was Jagan services tax. Since the beginning, Jagan Reddy had a low opinion of the Vysya community. The Government has not even adequately honoured Konijeti Rosaiah who climbed to top positions in his political career. Why didn’t the Government name any institution after Rosaiah as a token of his memory?
The TDP chief said CM Jagan did not even pay any respects to Rosaiah. The names of former CMs Vengala Rao, Vijayabhasker Reddy and Chenna Reddy were given to some institutions. The TDP would also honour Rosaiah after it would come to power.
Naidu said that he had never seen a CM like Jagan Reddy who was describing illicit liquor fatalities at Jangareddygudem as natural deaths. In that case, why were the police filing illicit liquor cases? Doctors’ reports were confirming them as illicit liquor deaths. If the YSRCP was not thrown out of power, it would not allow anybody else to live peacefully in the State.
