Students in Telangana march for progress as ABVP Telangana’s “Kadana Bheri” gains momentum
The resonating success of the ‘Kadana Bheri’ public gathering wherein students from 33 districts, 482 places, 1289 collages, in 1800 vehicles (Buses, Jeeps, cars and other personal vehicles) an approximate of 86 thousand students attended this resonating massive gathering at parade grounds, Secunderabad, organized by ABVP Telangana.
This gathering has a great importance of the students’ determination to address the pressing issues plaguing the educational landscape in the state. The event witnessed an overwhelming response from students across Telangana where in 300+ families have participated in welcoming this massive gathering. This vibrant gathering voiced their concerns over the lack of adequate facilities in schools and colleges, fee reimbursements and employment issues, leading to a state of betrayal and stagnation.
Poorly equipped public schools and mafia-like corporate companies have put academic pressure on children in Telangana, hurting their well-being. Social welfare hostels and universities that played a major role in the Telangana movement are also struggling with budgetary issues and recruitment. KCR’s government’s dishonesty, mismanagement, and nepotism have worsened the problem, turning a financially stable state into one in debt. ABVP-led Telangana students want government changes.
Their demands include the release of pending 5,300 crore fee reimbursement and scholarship arrears, enhancement of post-matric scholarships, the enactment of a fee regulation act, the prohibition of corporate educational institutes operating solely as businesses, improved accommodation facilities in social welfare hostels and gurukulas, the reopening of 8,624 state government schools, the reversal of 1400% fee hikes, safeguarding public lands, implementation of the NEP 2020.
Ashish Chauhan ji, National Organising Secretary, stated that Pragathi Bhawan was all about Pragathi of only the KCR family, and as a result, the government failed to recognise the needs of the people of Telangana. Telangana’s almost all sectors are declining, including education, agriculture, and today’s IT sector, which has fallen to fifth place compared to previous years.
National Joint Organising Secretary, Balakrishna ji said KCR’s government represents the worse days of Hyderabad during the nizam rule and this Kadana Bheri organised by ABVP will send the message to his colonial mind set. ABVP will always stand for students of Telangana and will fight against the inefficient BRS government until justice is met.
Yagyavalkya Shukla, National General Secretary of the ABVP, fiercely criticised CM KCR neglecting the basic needs of the student and said that the existing government is full of flaws and mismanagement, and appreciated the success of ABVP Telangana’s ‘Kadana Bheri’ public gathering. He emphasised ABVP will surely make the government realise its mistakes and ABVP has long history to stand for the right of the students and mass movements like this are needed in holding governments accountable when they abuse their power.
State Secretary of the ABVP in Telangana, Jhansi, clearly outlined the negative impact of the KCR-led government on the state’s educational system and the current unemployment crisis. She vowed that ABVP Telangana will fight strongly until the rightful demands of Telangana students are met. towards the end, she has sent an open letter to the CM KCR on his failures and said KCR needs to answer for all the demands ABVP raised as it concerns all the stakeholder of the state of Telangana.
Adding to this, City Secretary Srikanth, emphasised on the corruption that is rampant in the Telangana and KCR with his family is looting the people of Telangana for the for self-benefits. SWC Members Jeevan and Srihari said unemployment and how Universities are under crisis at this hour under the 9 years of KCR regime in Telangana.
