-TDP demands suspension of MLA Brahma Naidu
-YCP leaders hurling abusives on farmers: Atchannaidu
-People would revolt and confront YCP leaders soon

AMARAVATI: TDP state president K. Atchannaidu on Saturday demanded that the ruling YSRCP leadership should suspend their party MLA Bolla Brahma Naidu because of his highly objectionable remarks against farmers.

Atchannaidu criticised that Brahma Naidu took out a chappal and threatened to hit a farmer just for asking for remunerative prices for their crops. The days were not far off when the farmers and the general public would revolt and hit the ruling YSRCP leaders with their footwear.

In a statement here, the TDP leader said that in the past, Minister Sriranganatha Raju caused a lot of humiliation to the farmers by saying that the lazy persons would do cultivation. Now, MLA Brahma Naidu tried to attack a farmer with his chappal. They were having the word Rythu in this party name but the YSRCP leaders were insulting and victimising the farmers at every opportunity.

Atchannaidu recalled that the farmers were only asking for an assurance that their produce should be bought at the Rythu Bharosa Kendras. They wanted a guarantee that their payments would be made if they would sell their crops at the RBKs. Instead of assuring them of proper assistance, the ruling party MLA made an attack on the farmer.

The TDP leader said the Chief Minister should immediately suspend MLA Brahma Naidu if his Government had any respect for the cultivators. It was with sweat and blood of the farmers that food was being grown in the fields. But, the ruling YSRCP leaders were hurling abusives on one and all out of their sheer arrogance.

Atchannaidu deplored that AP stood in 2nd position in the country in farmers’ suicides and in 3rd place in tenant farmers’ suicides. The inefficient Government was showing its frustration instead of making corrective steps. All subsidies and loans were cancelled causing greater suffering to the farmers.
