TDP launches website against ‘killer J-brands’

-Jagan liquor mafia destroying families: ex Minister
-Intensify people’s agitation against toxic liquor brands

AMARAVATI: Continuing its struggle, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) on Saturday launched an exclusive website www.killerjbrands.com to involve all sections of people in the ongoing agitation against ‘toxic J-brands’ of cheap liquor.

The TDP leaders renewed their call to the people to join and step up the fight against the Jagan Reddy liquor mafia so as to prevent it from tearing the mangala sutras of more innocent women. The time has come for waging a non-stop people’s agitation to rescue the vulnerable sections from the ruling YSRCP’s hazardous liquor brands.

The TDP website was launched by party former minister Nakka Ananda Babu, MLC Paruchuri Ashok Babu and party anganwadi state president Achanta Sunitha at the party central office today.

Speaking on the occasion, Ananda Babu said CM Jagan Mohan Reddy was remaining indifferent while families were getting crushed because of liquor menace. He was continuing manufacture and sale of ‘dangerous liquor brands’ despite rising criticism. No other Chief Minister in the country had perpetrated such liquor tragedies since the country’s independence.

The TDP leader said most owners had left their distilleries as they were unable to face harassment from the Jagan Reddy benamis. All the liquor companies were in the hands of the Chief Minister. While the CM was benefitting from liquor companies, his party leaders were making easy money by selling illicit liquor. Poor people were buying illicit liquor as they were unable to bear exorbitantly high costs of cheap liquor J-brands.

Ananda Babu said CM Jagan Reddy seemed not bothered about 27 liquor deaths in Jangareddygudem even when the SEB officials registered FIRs and the excise officials booked cases against sellers. The Chief Minister told all lies in the Assembly after sending all the TDP members out of the House. A look at the case sheets would reveal how all the victims died due to consumption of illicit liquor.

Achanta Sunitha, who also spoke, said that CM Jagan threw all morals to the winds by bringing the new liquor policy on the day of Mahatma Jayanthi. All his fatal liquor brands were only aimed to fill the Tadepalli treasury but not the public exchequer. The CM stooped to the level of using the Government teachers to guard at the liquor shops.

The TDP leader pointed out how the CM made false statements in the Assembly even when it was already confirmed that the Jangareddygudem victims died due to illicit liquor. During Chandrababu Naidu’s visit to Jangareddygudem, the YCP leaders tried to use force to make the victims’ families say their breadwinners died due to natural causes.
