AMARAVATI: TDP former Minister Nakka Ananda Babu on Wednesday demanded that the CBI should question Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy for his dubious comment on the YS Vivekananda Reddy murder case.

Ananda Babu asserted that the Chief Minister had confessed to playing a role in the murder by saying that it would just become the 12th CBI case against him.

Addressing a press conference here, the TDP leader demanded that CM Jagan’s mother YS Vijayalakshmi and sister Sharmila should break their silence on the Viveka murder. They toured the whole State with the Bible in their hands at the time of elections but have now fallen silent on Jagan Reddy’s conspiracies and misdeeds.

Ananda Babu reiterated that it was CM Jagan Mohan Reddy and his party who reaped an electoral and political harvest out of the Viveka murder in the 2019 elections. The murder took place on March 14, 2019. The schedule of general elections in the country was announced on March 10, 2019. Jagan Reddy had already started a fake drama to get votes through his ‘Kodi Kathi murder attempt’ drama.

The TDP leader said the Viveka murder and the Kodi Kathi drama were enough to say how Jagan Reddy took his 2019 election campaign to extreme lengths in order to get victory through any means. It was this greed for power that made Jagan Reddy carry out a vicious campaign against the then Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.

Ananda Babu pointed out that Jagan Reddy came very late to see the Vivekananda Reddy body in Pulivendula. He drew a conspiracy to take electoral advantage and announced at that time that Chandrababu Naidu was behind the murder by holding a press conference. Now, the people of AP were shocked at how Jagan Reddy was changing his colours on his babai’s murder mystery.

The TDP leader recalled how YCP MPs Avinash Reddy and Vijaya Sai Reddy declared that Viveka died due to heart attack during morning hours. Sakshi TV continuously reported it as a natural death due to cardiac arrest till 11 a.m. Only after the Viveka family members insisted on a probe into blood stains and the nature of death, the whole story was changed.

Ananda Babu said that Sunitha Reddy had mentioned in her statement that ex DGP Goutham Sawang mediated in the case. Sawang had mentioned to her that Avinash Reddy and Shankar Reddy were like two eyes for Jagan Reddy. Now, it was proved beyond doubt that Avinash Reddy, his father Bhasker Reddy and Shankar Reddy were directly involved in the Viveka murder.

The TDP leader pointed out that another director accomplice Dastagiri had confessed to the CBI about the involvement of Avinash Reddy and others.
