Jagan rule committing utter financial transgressions
Future of AP people in grave danger
Naidu presides TDPP meet
YCP had 28 MPs but brought nothing for AP
AMARAVATI: The Telugu Desam Parliamentary Party (TDPP), at a meeting presided over by party National President and former CM N. Chandrababu Naidu, appealed to the Centre to turn its focus on the AP Government’s anarchic policies and constitutional transgressions.
The TDPP met here ahead of the Parliament budget session to begin on Monday and discussed the AP issues to be raised in both the Houses there. It sought the Centre’s attention to the YSRCP Government’s financial excesses and anti-people policies that have plunged the State into a deep crisis in all sectors.
The TDPP leaders said the future of Andhra Pradesh was pushed into grave danger because of the Jagan regime’s excessive loans and the ruling YSRCP leaders’ limitless looting. In just 32 months of its rule, the YCP regime created such a debt burden that was more than all loans made by the previous Governments since independence.
MPs Galla Jayadev, Rammohan Naidu, Kesineni Srinivas (Nani), Kanakamedala Ravindra Kumar, TDP state president K. Atchannaidu and National General Secretary Nara Lokesh were present at the TDPP meet.
The TDP MPs pointed out that by the time CM Jagan came to power in 2019, AP had an outstanding debt of just Rs. 3.14 Lakh Cr. Within a short period of time, the YSRCP regime created an additional debt of Rs. 3.64 Lakh Cr. Alarmingly, these massive loans were made in violation of the financial guidelines and not used for taking up development projects.
Expressing serious concern, the TDPP said the YCP rule’s unaccounted loans were causing severe harm to the AP economy as a whole. On the other hand, the ruling party’s looting in sand, liquor and mining was hampering the State’s development completely. Unless the Centre would check the downslide in AP, the State would witness total collapse in the near future.
The TDPP leaders strongly objected to the amendment made to the FRBM Act facilitating an increase in the State Government’s guarantees to the corporations’ loans from 90 percent to 180 percent. By taking undue advantage of this, the AP Government was trying to bring over Rs. 80,000 Cr loans additionally through the corporations in the coming days.
The TDPP resolved to raise the issue of increased FRBM limit in the Parliament as this kind of a facility was not sought or utilised by any other State Government in the country till now. Never before the FRBM rules were changed for enabling a State to procure hugely excessive loans. The Central Government should focus on the AP situation in this respect.
The TDPP decided to raise in the Parliament how the illegal casino had badly hurt Telugu culture and traditions. The AP police failed to nab the culprits. The TDP would complain to the ED, DRI and NCB over the casino issue.
Referring to the unfulfilled reorganisation promises, the TDP MPs said the YSRCP had got over 28 MPs in the Parliament but they achieved a big zero in the past 32 months. Not even one project was brought. CM Jagan Reddy was not able to tell the people what he had achieved out of his Delhi tours. The YCP MPs totally ignored Special Status, Polavaram and backward regions funds.
