Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) has extended the last date for submission of applications for Group-1 services up to June 4.
The Commission has taken this decision after some candidates complained that they were facing issues regarding fee payment.
The TSPSC received 3,48,095 applications for the 503 Group-1 posts till Tuesday night. It came to know that on Tuesday alone, more than 50,000 candidates submitted applications. This broke the old record of 2011 in the united Andhra Pradesh.
In 2011, notification was given for 312 Group-1 posts for which, 3,02,912 applications were submitted.
There are chances for more applications to be submitted in the wake of extension of deadline.
TSPSC issued notification on April 26 for filling Group-1 posts in various government departments. The deadline was 11.59 pm on May 31.
