TV9 founder-Chairman Ravi Prakash secured his Passport and seamless travel permission granted
After 4 year legal fight TV9 founder-Chairman Ravi Prakash secured his Passport and seamless travel permission granted.
Highcourt of Telangana ordered release of RP’s passport recognising the right of the individual who is fighting several cases in company law board against hostile takeover of tv9 in 2019. “Company management issues are civil matters which conspicuously twisted as criminal cases to harass the individual” argued RP’s advocate. As police filed final reports giving clean chit to RP, Hon’ble High court opined that there’s no reason to keep the passport in court custody.
In April 2019 at the time of hostile takeover of tv9 P.V.Krishna Reddy of MEIL group took Passport of RP from his cabin and handed over to RS member from AP. RP filed theft case with Banjara Hills police but no action initiated. He was issued new Passport in 2021 but had to deposit in court as condition for multiple cases filed against him.
As the Police themselves have now stated that the cases are false and closed them RP got back his passport. As the cases are institued with malicious intention, RP can proceed against Alanda Media backed by MEIL Group and My Home Group.
