AP Police stands First in speedy Investigation and Charge Sheeting cases of Crimes against Women and Children in the Country.
DGP appreciates DIG Pala Raju, IPS and his team of officers for the excellent performance of Andhra Pradesh Police in Speedy investigation and Successful charge sheeting of all the cases of Crime against women and children in the State, their tracking, guiding and monitoring.
Andhra Pradesh Stood No 1 in the country with compliance rate of 93.8 % in the ๐๐ง๐ฏ๐๐ฌ๐ญ๐ข๐ ๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐๐ซ๐๐๐ค๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ฒ๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ฆ ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐๐๐ฑ๐ฎ๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐๐๐ง๐๐๐ฌ (๐๐๐๐๐) of the Ministry of Home Affairs, GoI and chargesheeting the cases with in the legally stipulated time period of 60 days.
Police action and investigation in the cases of crime against Women and Children (POCSO) by the State Police across the country is monitored and tracked by Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA). Dedicated and special tracking mechanisms have been put in place for this purpose (ITSSO) by the GoI.
In the recently held South Zonal Council meeting at Tirupati, of all the Southern States, the performance of the AP Police was brought to the fore and limelight, which was appreciated by the Honโble Union Home Minister Sri AmitShah.
The performance of AP Police surpassing all States in the country to be top most in the parameter and yardstick is a indicator of the outcomes of ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐๐ฌ by the Government of Andhra Pradesh and being implemented by the AP Police amongst host of other measures towards Women safety and Security.
Honโble Chief Minister Sri YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has given top priority to safety and security of women and children in the state of Andhra Pradesh and towards this mandate initiated various measures in a multipronged and wholistic manner to create conditions and an eco-system where in women and children feel safe and secure in the State.
A component of the initiative apart from enhancing the Criminal Justice System itself, is building police capacities and competencies which ensures that such crime against women and children are speedily investigated, the accused brought to the book and case charge sheeted at the earliest point of time.
Honโble Chief Minister Sri YS Jagan Mohan Reddy appreciated the good work of AP Police and urged Police Department to strive even better to give confidence and re assurance to Women and Children in the state of AP, in line with the mandate of Government and people of AP. It once again demonstrates the commitment and excellence of AP Police in the service of the Society.
