-Woman bangle seller killed over financial dispute
-YCP leader had beaten helpless woman to death
-Jagan has no concern for women safety
AMARAVATI: TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh on Saturday accused Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and his party leaders of turning Andhra Pradesh into a hub of oppression and bloodshed for their narrow selfish agenda.
Lokesh condemned the latest murderous attack in which YCP leader N. Venkatramana Reddy had brutally beaten to death bangle seller Ramanamma at Kongavaripalle in Kurabalakota mandal of Chittoor district.
In a statement here, Lokesh said the killing took place just over a small financial dispute. The killing of Ramanamma marked a new peak in the violence and bloodshed being caused by the ruling YSRCP’s Dandupalyam batch all over the State. The Government and the police should take immediate action against the killers of the hapless woman.
Nara Lokesh asked whether the Chief Minister had no respect for the lives of people in the State. A massive mandate of 151 MLAs was given to Jagan Reddy in 2019 to rescue but not to oppress and kill all sections of people. This was why there was an unprecedented popular discontent against the ruling party within three years of coming to power.
Lokesh said the YSRCP gangs were behaving as if the AP voters had given them licence to commit any heinous crime and atrocity at their whims and fancies. The killing of Ramanamma took place even before three days passed since Jagan Reddy flagged off Disha patrolling vehicles. The Chief Minister was paying just lip service to the cause of women safety as was evident from the murderous attacks by his party leaders.
The TDP MLC asked who would come to the rescue of the victims when the Government itself was responsible for mindless violence and criminal attacks. The police were just dancing to the tunes of the ruling party criminals. The victim families had nobody to turn for help except gods.
