YSRCP’s days are numbered in AP, says TDP

Amaravathi, Aug 29: The TDP politburo member, Mr Bonda Umamaheswara Rao, feels that the days of the YSRCP in Andhra Pradesh are numbered.

The people of the State are disgusted at the style of functioning of the YSRCP leaders as the party has taken birth on high corruption and false propaganda, Mr Umamaheswara Rao said here on Monday. He told media persons at the TDP headquarters here, the party politburo member stated that the people had chased away the Ministers and the YSRCP MLAs during the ‘Gadapa Gadapaku’ (door-to-door) programme.

‘Eversince the YSRCP came to power in the State, the party has made democratic values a mockery. The police played the role of a spectator when the Chief Minister, Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy, his Cabinet colleague, Mr Peddyreddy Ramachandra Reddy, the MLC, Mr Bharath and the Kuppam Marketing Committee chairman, Mr Vidyasagar Rao, blatantly murdered the democratic values,” Mr Bonda Uma said.

The YSRCP goondas attacked the TDP activists during the recent visit of the former chief minister and TDP national president, Mr N Chandrababu Naidu, to Kuppam. The ruling party has resorted to physical attacks on TDP activists and damaged the Anna Canteen besides setting on fire the TDP banners, he said.

Though the ruling party workers resorted to anti-social activities, the police have let them go free. On the other hand, the police have foisted false cases against 60 TDP activists, who sustained injuries in the attack by the YSRCP goondas, he added. But the DGP or other senior police officers have remained silent on such incidents which is highly condemnable, he added.

Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy, who came to power by requesting the voters to give him a chance, is looting the State, he remarked and stated that the family members of Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy hav unauthorisedly grabbed the Rs 10,000 cr worth of lands belonging to Lepakshi.

Recently, the involvement of Mr Jagan, his wife Bharathi, his party MP, Mr Vijayasai Reddy, and his family members, have come into public in the New Delhi liquor scam. Even a Dalit youth in Kavali had committed suicide following harassment by the local YSRCP leaders.

Mr Bonda Umamaheswara Rao said that the IPack team of Mr Prashanth Kishore, in its latest report, made it clear that the YSRCP is fast losing ground in Andhra Pradesh and will not win the coming polls. “Following this, Mr Jagan is adopting various illegal methods to retain power. Since the people have lost faith in him, Mr Jagan resorted to attacks on Mr Chandrababu Naidu during his recent Kuppam visit,” the TDP politburo member said.

The police have miserably failed in taking measures to ensure that Mr Chandrababu Naidu’s visit to Kuppam went in a peaceful manner and the local police officials have to pay a very heavy price for this very soon, he felt. Making it clear that the TDP is not scared of such attacks, Mr Bonda Uma demanded that if Mr Jagan is confident of coming back to power he can dissolve the Assembly and go for polls now.

“If Mr Jagan is confident he should accept our challenge and ask all his party MLAs to submit their resignation immediately,” the TDP leader added.
