Jagan is keen on creating regional feelings among people of AP, says TDP

The Chief Minister, Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy, has a vengeful attitude towards the farmers of Amaravathi and thus he is enacting a drama in the name of three capitals, said the TDP politburo member, Mr Nimamla Ramanaidu.

The TDP politburo member told media persons at the state party headquarters here that the Cabinet Ministers from the North Andhra region are keeping silent though the Chief Minister is creating hatred among the people and raising regional imbalances. The unfortunate developments in the State are reflecting the performance of Mr Jagan, he said, adding that while Mr Chandrababu Naidu during his tenure as the chief minister had developed Visakhapatnam as economic capital, Mr Jagan turned it into crime capital. The High Court had already made it clear that the State Assembly has no right to change the capital decided under the provisions of the State Reorganisation Act, he pointed out.

Mr Jagan himself had made it clear before 2019 that Amaravathi would continue to be the capital, Mr Nimmala Ramanaidu pointed out and said that after coming to power he totally changed tack, thus cheating the people from the area. His Cabinet Ministers, who are craving for power, are only toeing his line, the TDP leader said.

Is Mr Kottu Satyanarayana given the Deputy Chief Minister post only to harass the farmers of Amaravathi, Mr Ramanaidu asked. The Minister, who could not clear the Rs 700 cr dues to the farmers for purchasing farm products, is insulting the farmers, he added.

“I have to get Rs 4.11 lakh dues from the Government which have been pending for the past six to seven months. Though my farm products were purchased on May 21, the amount has not been paid yet,” he pointed out. The Ministers, who are not able to help the Amaravathi farmers are only erecting banners against them, he felt.

The people of the State are seriously concerned that Andhra Pradesh is fast turning into another Bihar, and is crossing Sri Lanka with regard to the debt burden, Mr Nimmala Ramanaidu said and added that the Chief Minister is fast throwing the State into deep
crisis. Questioning the Amaravathi farmers, who are on pada yatra, is part of Mr Jagan’s conspiracy, he felt.

Recalling that Mr Chandrababu Naidu, during his regime, had given top priority for development of the State and decentralisation. Irrigation and drinking water were on the top of his agenda, the TDP politburo member said and stated that a whooping Rs 60,000 cr was spent for the construction of projects.

Mr Ramanaidu is of the opinion that it is Mr Jagan who should be questioned on development of the State but nor the Amaravathi farmers. What happened to the Vamsadhara-Nagavali project works and the Ministers from the North Andhra region like Mr Botsa Satyanarayana and Mr Dharmana Prasada Rao should demand a reply from the Chief Minister, Mr Nimmala Rama Naidu added.
