AP craving for loans when other States work for welfare: TDP

when other States are striving for the welfare of their people Andhra Pradesh Government is only craving for loans, said TDP spokesperson GV Reddy.

Mr GV Reddy told media persons at the party headquarters here on Wednesday that Governments in other States are only making every effort to increase their resources and for getting new projects to their States “our Government is always thinking as to how to raise more loans.” The Ministers are making rounds to New Delhi not for for getting funds for Polavaram or railway projects. They always go to Delhi only to get more loans, he added.

When other States raised a maximum amount of Rs 20,000 cr loans in the past four months, Andhra Pradesh Government has raised a whopping Rs 40,190 cr in just four months, Mr Reddy maintained.

It has become a habit to the State Government to provide false information to both Parliament and the Centre. “This is the reason as to why the Centre is unable to provide correct information on the total amount of loans raised by the State Government to Parliament,” he observed.

The State Government is not giving the correct information on this. Even the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) has not been provided the correct figures and thus the CAG too gave incorrect information, the TDP leader said.

Even when the State revenue is very low, but the State Government is escalating the figures, he said adding that even the State expenditure is not projected properly. “What is happening to the huge amount of loans and the funds allocated by the Centre,” Mr Reddy asked.

The YSRCP Government has done nothing to the State in the past three years and to cover up its failures, the State Government is simply blaming the TDP, he noted. Bills worth several crores of rupees have been pending clearance while the roads in the whole State are in a total dilapidated condition, Mr GV Reddy said.

Andhra Pradesh has far exceeded Sri Lanka in economic crisis. “When we point out this, the ruling party leaders ask as how can we compare our State with other nation. You can compare yourselves with other countries but when we compare it they can not relish that,” he remarked.

Maintaining that the State is fast moving into a crisis, the TDP leader demanded that the YSRCP Government come out with a factsheet on the total amount of loans raised and how the funds are being utilised.

Why the fee reimbursement scheme is not being implemented properly, he asked. Some of the welfare schemes which were implemented by the TDP government are given a goby while the names of other schemes are changed. “Except this the Jagan Government has not done anything till now, he added. Mr Reddy demanded that the State Government come out with a white paper on all these issues.
