Bonda Uma demands Jagan’s resignation

Bonda Uma demands Jagan’s resignation taking moral responsibility for Viveka murder

Amaravathi, Oct 26: The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) politburo member, Mr Bonda Umamaheswara Rao, on Wednesday demanded the resignation of Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy as the Chief Minister taking moral responsibility for the murder of his paternal uncle, Mr YS Vivekananda Reddy.

If Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy is not involved in the murder of his uncle, he should immediately step down first and then bring the culprits to book taking proper action, Mr Bonda Umamaheswara Rao told the media here. The Chief Minister and the State Government should feel ashamed as the daughter of the late Mr Vivekananda Reddy, Ms Sunitha, moved the Supreme Court seeking transfer of the murder case investigation to some other State, Mr Bonda Uma said.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in its affidavit clearly mentioned that Mr Vivekananda was done to death by Mr Avinash Reddy and Siva Sankar Reddy, the family members of Jagan’s wife, Ms Bharathi Reddy, as Mr Vivekananda was firm that the Kadapa Lok Sabha seat be allotted to the YSR family members, Mr Uma pointed out. Since Mr Jagan Reddy was well aware of the murder of Mr Vivekananda, he is now not opening his mouth, the TDP politburo member felt. He demanded that Mr Jagan answer the public as to why he is now keeping silence when he wanted the CBI to investigate the murder case while he was in Opposition and even moved the High Court demanding the probe.

Pointing out that the CBI clearly indicated in the affidavit that the YSRCP MP, Mr Avinash Reddy and other forces are influencing the case, he wanted to know how Mr Jagan tried to defend the same Mr Avinash Reddy on the floor of the Assembly. What does this indicate, Mr Uma asked.

”Do we need any more evidence than this that Mr Jagan Reddy is coming to the rescue of those involved in the murder,” the TDP leader stated. Mr Jagan, Mr Avinash and another party MP, Mr Vijayasai Reddy, issued conflicting statements on the day when Mr Vivekananda was murdered and this is evident enough that Mr Jagan was well aware of those involved in the murder, he said.

When Ms Sharmila, the sister of Mr Jagan, came out openly and stated in New Delhi that Mr Vivekananda was done to death due to reasons for Kadapa Lok Sabha seat, why Mr Jagan till now not opened his mouth on this, Mr Bonda Umamaheswara Rao asked.

Mr Uma expressed doubts when Mr Jagan could till now not take any initiative to bring to book the culprits behind the murder of his own uncle, what the common man in the State can expect from him. He asked as to why the Director General of Police (DGP) is also not taking any action with regard to the murder case.

Mr Uma also wanted Mr Jagan to tell the public who is behind the threats being issued to Mr Dastagiri, who turned approver in the murder case. The TDP politburo member demanded the CBI to immediately take up the investigation into the case and bring to book the culprits and also those directly and indirectly involved in it.
