CM interacts with Party cadre

Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy held a meeting with the Constituencies Observers, District Presidents and Regional Coordinators at his camp office here on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, he directed the party leaders to appoint 5.20 lakh village chiefs and two village chiefs should be appointed for the cluster. While three conveners should be appointed in each secretariat and every 50 families should be identified as a cluster, he said.

Briefing the steps to be taken for strengthening the party, he said that they were called for an orientation to explain a plan on how the regional coordinators, district party presidents and constituency observers should work in coordination. The main objective is to strengthen the party cadre from grass root levels.

Besides that procedures will be prescribed to the General Coordinators, Party Presidents and Observers. The MLAs are participating in the door to door campaign to reachout to the public and ensure the implementation of welfare schemes, he said, adding that they are also visiting at least 4 to 5 secretariats per month.

Along with the door-to-door campaign initiated by the government, the party activities should continue in the village and ward secretariats. A program has been designed to meet 1.66 crore families on behalf of the party in 10-15 days. For this 50 families will be mapped, a male and female will be appointed as house chief’s. They look after the programs of conveying the message of the party, providing publicity materials prepared for them.

Also under village and ward secretariats there will also be three conveners for the party. At least one of them will be a woman. Under the respective village and ward secretariats, party activities will be monitored. Those having political awareness and are active should be appointed as conveners. In total there are 5.2 lakh house chiefs in 15,000 villages, two each for fifty houses.

Besides, there will be another 45,000 conveners in the village and ward secretaries. Initially, three conveners should be appointed for 15,000 secretariats who will later appoint incharges for MLAs or Assembly constituencies. The party observers will ensure the implementation of the process in a proper manner, he said.
