-Nyayadevatha upheld vision of ‘karma yogi’: Anuradha
-CM should tender apology to Capital City women
AMARAVATI: TDP state general secretary Panchumarthy Anuradha on Friday termed the High Court verdict as a victory for the women farmers of Amaravati Capital City region.
Anuradha recalled how Amaravati women came out of their homes and courageously took part in the 807 day long agitation. They bravely confronted the fabricated cases, false arrests and manhandling.
Addressing a press conference here, the TDP leader asserted that the courageous women of Capital City continued their struggle regardless of loss of lives in their families in the cause for justice. They did not lose heart even when hurdles were created for their march to the Durga Temple for offering ‘naivedyam’ for the Goddess blessings for retaining Amaravati as the one and only Capital.
Anuradha said the Goddess of Justice (Nyayadevatha) understood the suffering and sacrifices of Amaravati women, eventually delivering true justice. From the beginning, the Capital City women stood like a rock of support for the vision of a ‘maharshi’ and a ‘karma yogi’ like Chandrababu Naidu. The Amaravati agitation was unique in the world as the agitators did not even celebrate festivals and family functions.
The TDP leader deplored that over 189 Amaravati agitators lost their lives during the long course of their protests. The mangalsutras’ of women were torn. Darkness filled the villages of the Capital region till the High Court brought light. Nyayadevatha breathed a new life into the Amaravati project visualised by Chandrababu Naidu.
Anuradha advised the Chief Minister and his Ministers to leave their adamant attitude and wake up to see the reality. The farmers would not have given a single acre if Jagan Reddy came forward with such a vision. They gave 33,000 acres only believing in the capacity and caliber of Chandrababu Naidu. How could the ruling party dare to destroy the Rs. 2 Lakh Cr asset in Amaravati?
The TDP leader termed as laughable the allegations of the ruling YCP leaders that Amaravati’s development would set aside the progress of the remaining regions in the State. Naidu developed IT industry, Lulu Group, Millennium Towers, Adani Centre and industrial corridor in North Andhra. CM Jagan destroyed all these projects but yet made false claims on future development there.
Anuradha demanded the YCP Government to withdraw the false cases filed against 3,850 Amaravati farmers including 1,585 women farmers. CM Jagan should tender an unconditional apology to the women. Over Rs. 25 Lakh ex gratia should be paid to the deceased Amaravati farmers.
