IPS officer M Ramesh promoted with super time scale in the rank of Inspector General of Police

● M Ramesh- A Down to Earth Police Officer

The 2005 Batch IPS officer M Ramesh has been empanelled and promoted with super time scale in the rank of inspector general of police, level 14 in the pay matrix of IPS(Pay) Rules 2016. M Ramesh is retained in the same post as inspector general of police (Provisioning and Logistics, Hyderabad). A government order was issued by Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari in this regard.

M Ramesh is a down to earth IPS officer, sincere, honest, dedicated and highly committed towards service. He belongs to Agricultural family in Masthipuram Village, Wanaparthy Dist (Formerly MahabubnagarDist) . He has rendered valuable services to his village in the last 25 years of his service that includes up gradation of electricity systems, Construction of kalayanamandapam, water facilities etc.

He held various positions in his careers like DSP/ Addl.SP, Godavarikhani, Karimnagar district, Deputation to Govt. Of India, Ministry of Petroleum as Sr. Dy Director, Investigation, Anti-Adulteration Cell, New Delhi, Addl. SP, Operations, Warangal District, Chief Security Officer to the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Joint Director, Anti Corruption Bureau, Hyderabad, Superintendent of Police, West Godavari District, AIG, Law and Order, DGP Office, SP, Intelligence, Group Commander, Greyhounds, Hyderabad etc.

He has won Indian Police Medal for Meritorious Service (IPM) on the occasion of Republic Day 2018, “Antarik Suraksha Seva Medal” in 2014 for work in LWE , “AP Police Kathin Seva Medal” in 2001 for outstanding work in LWE operations and Utkrist Seva Padakam – 2020 etc..

He has passion for promotion of Telugu language and was instrumental in conducting several conferences with eminent Telugu personalities in various places of Telangana. He is interested in the spread of Information technology in the policing. He initiated several measures that have helped deliver efficient services to the people. He achieved national success in Passport Verification Project which was conceived and designed by him across the State of Telangana. He has also conducted studies with the students of renowned business school, ISB Hyderabad for improvement in the processes and delivery mechanism of the Police department and took part in various projects of the department and has been involved in the brand building for the Police department in the youngest State of India – Telangana.

He profusely thanked Chief Minister Sri K. Chandrashekar Rao, Home Minister Sri Md. Mahmood Ali and Chief Secretary to Govt., Sri Santhi Kumari and DGP Sri Anjani Kumar for their support in giving this responsibility.
