Farmers 685-day agitation inspiring
One State, One Capital slogan catching up
AMARAVATI: TDP National General Secretary Nara Lokesh on Monday described the Amaravati farmers’ protests as a justified struggle for the rightful Capital City for Andhra Pradesh and for the golden future of the younger generations of the State.
Lokesh lauded that the Capital City agitators never backed down from their noble fight regardless of the suppression and humiliations from the ruling YSRCP and the Jaganmohan Reddy Government. For the past 685 days, the farmers, women, youth and all sections of the Capital City area continued their relentless struggle.
In a statement here, Nara Lokesh has saluted the agitators for their steadfast faith and courage in the face of unheard of oppression, false cases and arrests. The ‘Jai Amaravati’ slogan has gone on to resound all over. The battle for Amaravati will go down as an inspiring struggle waged for the rights of the people.
Lokesh asserted that the Amaravati farmers began their agitation with the slogan for ‘One State and One Capital’ and to save the People’s Capital. The farmers’ Maha Padayatra should be a big success with active support from the people in all the districts.
Exuding confidence, Nara Lokesh wished that the Amaravati farmers would get the blessings of Srivaru. At least then, there would be a positive change in the thinking process of the present rulers. It was everybody’s wish in AP now that Amaravati should be continued as the one and only Capital for Andhra Pradesh.
