-Urges for waiver of fee for supplementary exam
-Demands white paper on education sector
-‘Prisonary Jagan’ insulting god-like teachers
-Terms students suicides as ‘Govt murders’
AMARAVATI: TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh on Thursday demanded the Jagan Mohan Reddy Government to take up ‘reverification’ instead of revaluation to ensure justice to students in 10th class exams.
Nara Lokesh also urged the Government for waiving fee for ‘reverification’ and ‘supplementary exams’. The Chief Minister and the education Minister should review and release a white paper on the present situation in education sector in Andhra Pradesh.
Addressing an interaction with parents and students, Lokesh said the YCP regime should place before the public the pass percentage in Government schools. A teacher at Bendapudi school worked hard to teach American accent to rural students but Jagan Reddy took credit for that. Now, the CM was unwilling to take responsibility for the failure of 2 lakh students.
Lokesh asserted that the suicides of failed students should be considered as ‘Government murders’. The TDP would continue its fight till justice would be done to the failed candidates. The Government should give compensation to the families of the deceased students.
Nara Lokesh pointed out that the YCP Government was so irresponsible that it imposed power cuts during examinations. It was not the 10th class students who failed but the Jagan Government. The pass percentage came down from 94.48 in the TDP regime in 2018 to just 67.26 under the YCP rule now.
Lokesh termed it as atrocious that not a single student passed in over 71 Government schools. While all the people were shocked over failue of 2 lakh students, Jagan Reddy was happily celebrating saving of thousands of crores under Amma Vodi. Nadu-Nedu works benefited the YCP leaders in a big way but not schools.
Nara Lokesh accused the ruling party of looting Rs. 3,500 Cr in the name of school children. ‘Prisonary Jagan’ was insulting teachers whom all others would consider as gods. He promised to cancel CPS in a week but betrayed teachers totally after coming to power. Agitating teachers were being harassed by filing false cases against them.
Condemning the Government’s attitude, Lokesh said even the promise of mega DSC to fill teacher posts was not fulfilled. Not a single new teacher post was given in the past three years. Very poor results were because of lack of committed teachers alone.
Lokesh said that there were suspicions over the Government’s conspiracy behind largescale failure of 10th students. The Jagan regime was trying to reduce the number of eligible students under Amma Vodi so that there would be a lesser financial burden. The Government was resorting to such ulterior methods due to lack of funds and inability to bring loans.
