Housing Minister Jogi Ramesh miraculously escaped from an accident on national highway near Pelluru, near Ongole on Monday. he was on his way from Chilakaluripet to Nellore.
Since road works are going on the national highway, barricades were set up for traffic diversion. Due to air, the cones set up on the divider flew and fell on the road. A car driver in the Minister’s convoy applied sudden brakes to avoid hitting the cones. With this, the vehicles in the convoy collided with each other and also hit the divider.
The car in which the Minister was travelling also collided but Jogi Ramesh escaped unhurt. He alighted another vehicle and left the place.
Highway staff and local CI Srinivasa Reddy rushed to the spot and removed the damaged car to ease the traffic.
