-Illicit liquor and J-brands tearing ‘mangala sutras’
-CM Jagan destroying women for easy money
-Rs 25,000 Cr commissions for CM from J-brands
AMARAVATI: TDP National President and former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Friday slammed the Jagan Mohan Reddy Government for ‘tearing’ the mangala sutras of AP women by supplying fatal J-brands of cheap liquor in the State.
Naidu said CM Jagan Reddy promised to implement phased prohibition at the time of elections to save the day to day lives of poor women. But after coming to power, the CM had started destroying women’s lives with his own J-brands and illicit liquor.
In a teleconference with party leaders and activists, the TDP chief gave a call to his party cadres to hold protest demonstrations against J-brands on Saturday and Sunday all over the State. The protesters should demand elimination of illicit and country arrack as well as the Chief Minister’s own fatal J-brands.
Naidu stressed the need for taking the common public along in these 2-day protests. While illicit liquor was killing drinkers instantly, the J-brands of cheap liquor were acting like ‘slow poison’. The CM should answer why such cheap liquor brands being sold in AP were not available anywhere else in the State. Who was behind the manufacture of these brands and how much rates were being collected?
Chandrababu Naidu accused the Chief Minister of tearing ‘thali botlu’ of women for the sake of easy money from cheap liquor brands. Over Rs. 120 to Rs. 150 was being collected for a bottle whose actual cost was just Rs. 60. Jagan Reddy was plundering Rs. 5,000 Cr yearly from the poor people’s pockets with just J-brands of liquor alone.
The TDP chief said the Chief Minister was earning over Rs. 25,000 Cr to Rs. 30,000 Cr in the form of commissions in his five year term from liquor sales alone. Jagan Reddy’s statement describing Jangareddygudem 27 fatalities as ‘natural deaths’ was highly condemnable. All the people knew they were illicit liquor deaths.
Naidu called upon the party cadres to raise awareness among the people how abnormally priced J-brands were driving poor drinkers to go for fatal illicit liquor. As a result, lots of them were losing their lives. The agitations should be taken to the women whose lives were being completely destroyed.
Chandrababu Naidu said the lies and betrayals of Jagan Mohan Reddy were getting exposed with full evidence one by one these days. It became revealed that the campaign on DSP promotions to one single community was part of a misinformation propaganda.
Naidu asserted that there was evidence to show that the previous TDP regime did not buy Pegasus spyware for keeping surveillance. The TDP cadres and the general public should question the Chief Minister and his MLAs on their ceaseless false campaigns for ulterior benefit.
