TDP Presents Evidence of False Cases Against TDP Leaders, Activists, and Sympathizers to the AP Governor

A team of Telugu Desam Party leaders, led by TDP National General Secretary Nara Lokesh, met with Andhra Pradesh Governor Shri Justice S. Abdul Nazeer today to inform him about the retaliatory actions of the Jagan government against TDP Chief and former CM N. Chandrababu Naidu and other TDP leaders in the state.

In a letter submitted to the AP Governor, Nara Lokesh expressed concern that democracy in Andhra Pradesh has been on a downward spiral since Jagan Mohan Reddy assumed leadership of the state. He stated that Jagan Reddy consistently shows disregard for the constitution, democracy, and the rule of law.

Nara Lokesh emphasized that the Jagan Reddy regime has openly targeted the Leader of the Opposition, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, who remains the most prominent voice in public resistance against oppression and mis-governance affecting the 5 crore people of Andhra Pradesh. He also mentioned that the ‘Rogue Regime’ attempted to disrupt his foot march, “Yuva Galam,” through various physical attacks and false police cases.

Nara Lokesh’s letter to the Governor disclosed that the regime had targeted numerous senior leaders and countless workers of the Telugu Desam Party. He pointed out that one TDP leader, JC Prabhakar Reddy, is facing nearly 70 cases, while State Party President K. Atchannaidu has been in police custody for varying periods without valid charges.

Nara Lokesh also noted that TDP Chief and Former CM N. Chandrababu Naidu was falsely charged and arrested in gross violation of Section 17 (A) of the Prevention of Corruption Act in the alleged Skill Development case.

After the meeting with the Governor, Nara Lokesh spoke to the media and stated that they had informed him about the state’s conditions. He revealed that over 260 cases have been filed against TDP senior leaders, with 60,000 cases registered against TDP activists and sympathizers during Jagan’s regime.

Furthermore, the TDP National General Secretary informed the AP Governor about Pawan Kalyan being prevented from entering the state and the injustices faced by Amarnath Goud, Shyam Kumar, and Misbah. Nara Lokesh stressed that the Governor bears the responsibility of upholding the constitution in Andhra Pradesh and requested his intervention in preserving the constitution in the state.
