Holding the State Government accountable for the incident, Nara Lokesh calls for significant compensation to be provided to the families of the deceased

TDP National General Secretary Nara Lokesh has promptly responded to the untimely deaths of three people today resulting from an accident involving an Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) bus colliding with platform number 12 at the Pandit Nehru bus terminus in Vijayawada.

In response to this tragic incident, Nara Lokesh has held the Jagan Mohan Reddy government fully accountable for the accident. He has pointed out that accidents frequently occur in Andhra Pradesh due to the use of outdated buses. He disclosed that not a single new bus has been purchased by the YSRC government since taking office in the state.

Furthermore, he stated that for four and a half years; the government hasn’t even allocated funds for the acquisition of nuts and bolts in RTC garages. Nara Lokesh emphasized that the APSRTC staff is under immense pressure due to the lack of recruitment. He extended his heartfelt condolences to the grieving families and requested the government to provide more substantial compensation to the families of the accident victims and those who were injured.
