Hyderabad, June 3: AICC spokesperson Dr Dasoju Sravan lambasted Telangana police for not taking action in a minor’s rape case, in which children of influential politicians from TRS and AIMIM, are involved. Demanding police to immediately arrest the guilty in 17-year-old girl’s rape, Dasoju Sravan came down heavily on police for shamelessly trying to save the guilty, as they hail from powerful political families.
“It is extremely disgusting and shameful on the part of Telangana police that, they are trying to save the guilty in the minor girl’s rape occurred in Jubilee Hills area in Hyderabad. As the guilty belong to influential political families and even a son of an MLA is also involved, police are trying to cover up the rape case and save the children of influential politicians. Telangana police are behaving completely immorally and irresponsibly in this case,” said Dr Dasoju Sravan expressing severe anguish over the incident.
“The rape of minor girl occurred on May 28 and the girl’s father filed a complaint with police on May 31st.CCTV footage and related evidence clearly proves that the girl has been abducted by the youth in the car and allegedly raped.
It is disheartening that this grievous incident occurred in the heart of Hyderabad. But police have not taken any action and yet to arrest the culprits. What’s ridiculous is that, police have registered a case on Mercedes Benz in which girl was raped, but not on the owner of the car. Telangana police,who have turned as slaves of TRS, have stooped down to all time low level, by trying to save the children of influential politicians, while a 17-year-old girl and her family are in tears,” reprimanded Dr Dasoju Sravan.
Congress senior leader Dr Dasoju Sravan has been relentlessly raising his voice and protesting against the increasing drugs consumption and pub culture in Hyderabad. He has presented with proofs in the past about how the Telangana youth are falling prey to drugs and pub culture and urged TRS government and Telangana police to take action. But neither KCR Sarkar nor Telangana police have acted.
